It says on there you have to buy the charger separate- it doesn't come with one! So that's 40 for the batteries, and at least 70 for the charger, which only charges one battery. No thanks.

Same here, I notice the sound getting more hollow-echoy-somethingish, and then I get the stupid beeps. Because my hearing aids are set at the top range of the power too, my batteries die once or twice a week too. I hate the beeps!

Thanks, it's over now, but I still feel kind of bad about it. The doorbell and sign are actually on the door as they're wireless and I did want people to see it. There's also a little picture of an ear with a line through it that's bright blue. Lol. I guess they just weren't paying attention.

The sign says, "Resident is deaf, you must use the doorbell to activate the visual alert system. Do not knock." It's more like plaque, the university put it on the door for me the week I moved in.

You in fact can say that. I myself have a severe hearing loss in the low tones, which slopes upward to only a moderate hearing loss in the higher tones. It's called a reverse slope loss, and mine is classified as severe/moderate. :D
