I'm trying to figure out how much I can charge for the AD Caucus - I don't want to make it too expensive that no one would show up, AND on the other hand, I dont want to make it too cheap that I can't cover all the expenses that might pop up...

Remember - the hotel has to be covered -
~ Banquet
~ ADministrator Reception
~ Meeting Room

Also postage, awards, miscellaneous... remember I want to get the best possible bargains...so will TRY to keep costs down.

I need your opinion.

A lot of folks might be travelling from far away to attend this - so go with the cheapest rate...see if there's something you can do as far as a group rate or something - the members attending should be responsible for their own lodgings, and you'd only have to worry about getting a hall or something...you could use this as both the meeting room and place for reception...are you planning for this to be formal? If you are, then it would be more expenses...otherwise, why not have it at a park, or something in that nature? See if you can get a nice big patch of grass and set up some tables and have members bake and bring their own specialties.

Just a thought. :)
 
Just up to 40 bux as best value the reasonable price package for one as such

As long their pocket expense goes for motel/foods:Breakfast and Lunch peroid.
 
Well -- I did vote 25 but I would say up to 100 to break the combo package... you know :)

hm.. in total of great value should be 30 dollars or 40 not more than 60 dollars I know some of u people can't afford to go so it's wise that DD decided to make things easier for u ADers to able to pay for it. ;) but eh depends on how much the hotel and the room costs.
 
Well for all those and its a three day event i would combo it for a good reason... food and the room will be pretty expensive in all aspect u want to be able to get enuff for the deposit and the rate of the time for the hall/meeting room... last but not the least food will be a factor so if u find a combo package with the meeting/hall place divide those into a nbr of poeple u know that are coming and then u ll have a better idea on the rate.. when we had our event we only charged poeple 20 bucks adults 10 bucks kids under 18 meaning 4-18 and the under 4 is free. so that was how we did that here at our xmas bash.. ( i may be slightly off on the price range but close enuff) So u can see the concept and it covered all the rate we reserved and deposted and paid at the final cost.. so u can get a better idea on this.

So in my opioion best value.......
 
Well, I have a suggestion, How about ordering a Catering? They usual charge 19.99 per person depends on what meal.

If DreamDeaf can get a Catering Menu and discuss what type of food we would want, with sides order. And we pay our own meal by a per person. What you think? I do know all about catering because I work for my dad.


Suppose we want Italian food, DreamDeaf can go to a restaurant and get a catering menu, If we want Subs sandwiches, She could find a Sub store to get a menu, Or Chinese, or whatever you guys would like.

This is what Im trying to do - put together a combo package but I also have to charge a little bit OVER what prices I can get for the hotel rooms and whatnot... to cover expenses and then you already know all profits after expenses will be given to Alex for AllDeaf.
 
I'd rather stick w/ Buffet their choice preferences foods.. Instead straight alone Italian what if other peoples doesn't like some kind of specific food. Isn't fair for that..

Only the ticket way... Buffet is combation different styles foods as your preference choice.

Mention that you wanted combo package for one.. Yes agreed but depends on the price What you're trying expense on rental hall/catering/other stuff.. To find figures how many poeple will attend.. to suitable find squeeze proprite the price as condiser non-profit or 50/50 would helpful pull up the budget fit in 1 price.

I've experience Management budget due my prevouis business runs and also invovled w/Deaf members Club particpale. I'm not here for ego.. Just "tip advise" Look your chart the budget and to see what expense on rental hall/catering/other stuff put it together total what the answer... then figures how many people will attend?? Think twice don't get lose your lot of money expense.

Don't forget DD is experience of MoAD Chairperson for this summer. She been officer for deaf clubs, too.

Just give her feedback and feel comfortable with any of those ideas. We can split it up with combo packages.

I am Banquet Chairperson for MoAD this summer, too. I am looking for someone that has prefer.... Well let me put new thread for AD CAUCUS food list.
