Family members of the three women have made their statements in court. Michelle Knight is testifying live at court now. It is heart wrenching.

One thing I never realized is how tiny Michelle is. Someone that small is so strong. Amazing!

If this guy makes it out alive from the courtroom I will be amazed!

His statement is sickening!

:barf:

He's blaming his childhood, sex sickness, the stress of driving a school bus…

He's also saying that the sex was consensual, that the women came to him for sex, that they were't virgins…

I don't know how the spectators in the courtroom can control themselves.

He's saying, oh, they didn't suffer because look how good they're doing now.

Now he's blaming the FBI.

He says there was a lot of harmony in that "home."

:barf:

His lawyers should stuff a dirty sock in his mouth, the same way he did to silence the three women.

Oh my. that is so sickening! keep post it here. no tv here at work.

He finally shut up. If you get a chance later (before you eat dinner), read the complete transcript. Don't do it on a full stomach.

The judge thanked the spectators for their "remarkable restraint" during that statement.

The judge is now going over the statement and law.

Oh, my! Castro is talking back to the judge!

The judge had explained the rape charges again because Castro had said it was consensual. The judge explained that because Castro had accepted the plea bargain, it means that he agreed it was rape. Then,Castro answered back and said that it wasn't forced, that the women were willing.

Amazing!

The judge is stating how Castro used chains and restraints and deception in these crimes. Castro claimed it was the result of sex addiction, that he couldn't help it. Yet, as the judge pointed out, during this period Castro also had a regular sexual relationship with his girlfriend on the outside. The judge said that showed his behavior with the three captive women was a choice, not a compulsion.

The judge is also explaining about the raising of his daughter in that captivity. He said that the little girl was living worse than incarcerated prisoners. Castro spoke up again and denied that.

The judge said that Castro claimed that it was a happy household living in harmony but the judge says there are few people in America who would agree with that.

Ariel Castro s hearing, "I am not a monster, I'm sick"

I think we should drop him off the helicopter and let him flying without parachute.

I saw the part where he said he "was not a monster and not a violent person , and that he had a sex addiction" It was very sickening and a crock of shit! I was an abuse child and there was history of it on my dad's side and I was able to break the pattern of abuse when I had my child.
I do not buy that crap of "Boo Hoo poor me it was my childhood that made me do it!"

I wish the judge had told him to shut the HELL UP!

I agree. I'd like to prescribe some sodium thiopental. I think it will help him.

What about extradite him to Texas and he will executed with sodium thiopental within 48 hours?

That's murder. BTW, three women prefer life sentence for him because they want him to feel the same way they felt when he kept them in the house for 10 years.
