I wear contacts. Then glasses at night. I'm nearly blind without them. Anything past 12 inches in front of my face is a blur...

You made a wise decision in my opinion. A lot of people are having the surgery, not realizing that there are risks to it. I would say if you're not bothered by glasses, why put yourself through the pain?
