When I was younger, there were times when I wish I was hearing. I used to wish I was hearing so that I can easily hear and communicate without worrying that I might miss something out of the conversation. I used to wish I was hearing so I can hear people talk in the other room. I used to wish I was hearing so I can get hired easily. I used to wish I was hearing so I can feel "normal" just like the hearing folks. Those are some of the reasons why I used to feel that way, wishing to be a hearing person so everything would be easier for me.
Now, I wonder if there are hearing people who wish they were deaf. I don't mean those that play around wishing they were deaf so they don't have to listen to arguments and stuff. I'm talking about one that actually wishes he/she was deaf because they are so much in love with the deaf community, or whatever.
Ever wonder about that?

That was funny! LOL But, cool !
). And of course I occasionally get grief from hearing people when I don’t catch what they’re saying because my left ear is pointed away from them or there’s some sort of loud background noise. But who gives a shit what they think. Maybe someday when I become proficient in ASL I can somehow use my strange uniqueness to the benefit of both hearing and Deaf people.
