Another Shooting Spree

I bought my Bushmaster AR-15 .223 more than 10 years ago from a gun shop. I brought a NRA magazine review with the suggested retail price listed. The gun had a price tag of about $1,100. I got it by showing the salesperson the article. Got it for about $950. It came with the 16" heavy barrel, carry handle and a 10 rnd clip.

They are currently selling in the $1,000 to $1,500 locally. Even AK-47 variants are decently priced depending on caliber.

Used SKS's are selling for about $400 more than last year.

Reba's new AR-15 .22L (flattop) with 25 rnd clip costs $395. :rifle:

Oh I see, that's very interesting.

Thanks for explanation.

Yes, AR-15 is extremely popular rifle for civilian.

Not surprised at all - NY and NJ have too many gun control laws.

I think CP will love to hear your comment.

I also have a plastic brass catcher, bi-pod legs, large scope and a larger carry bag (made for ARs) and many 30 rnd magazine. Mags fit M-16, AR-15 or M-4s.

and beside... this is not related to this thread.

It is related to this thread because everybody talk about guns.

now you're getting upset. perhaps it's time to take a break and calm down.

this thread is about Santa Monica Shooting by a shooter with history of mental illness.... not by some hardened criminal.

I'm not upset at all and I'm not surprised about your comment with my article. It don't hurt my feeling.

I'm not going to argue with you.

there's nothing to argue in here. I'm just telling you that the article is most likely fake. there's no concrete additional information in there. there's nothing to verify his story.

therefore.... it's probably fake. and plus - it's off-topic.

no. usually around $4,000 for everything.

$1,000 is typically how much a nice handgun costs such as Colt 1911.

I just saw locally a stag arms for $900. Prices are inflated right now but will be coming back down.

LETTER: Felon Thanks The NRA - Courant.com

I don't think it is unsubstantiated.

Why I need be careful to pick the story? I'm just share the article about how sick is criminal.

Anyone could have written that letter. It seems a little odd. Why would anyone publicly announce their plans for future criminal activity? I mean it's possible, criminals are dumb but I would think that letter alone would be enough to keep him from parole. Or at least they could follow him to the gun show and arrest him there. Gun shows are crawling with police. Last place most criminals want to be.

The people that have much more to gain from a letter like that are anti second amendment.
