Another Shooting Spree

Lawyers will play games to win whenever they dont care whoever the shooters were.

a good protection? well good thing insanity defense is rare and notoriously difficult.

As it should be. But yes I think it is humane that we protect people who's mental illness prevents them from understanding reality. Some states don't allow for the insanity defense.

Other than psychobabble, Kaczynski never showed signs of mental illness. It also is a sign of very high IQ to build unique bomb designs and his own communication code. So I think the IQ argument on mental illness is different depending on the person. Clearly we can't just stop at the low IQ level.

Let me be clear about what I meant. I'm talking about the kind of people that for one reason or another don't have an understanding or reality. Just because you're mentally ill doesn't mean you aren't responsible for your actions. However if you believe your neighbor is the devil and you attack him then perhaps you need to be committed instead of put in jail. Or if you have a super low IQ and you steal something you want because you don't understand you shouldn't. That sort of thing.

All lower recivers must be transferred through a FFL dealer so there is no way to build a complete rifle with parts from the internet.

That is why gun control failed. Somebody figured out how to build rifles without going though FFL. There are always people out there that aren't stupid, but very smart. We can't outsmart smart people. This proves my point already, and I stand that gun control will not solve the problem.

Yes it is. Guy I work with is about to buy one of these printers. They beefed up the design of the lower and they've been able to get over 600 though one.

You've never needed to go though an FFL if you make your own receiver. I was talking about building one from parts off the internet. You can get everything but the receiver off the internet.

I want a desktop CNC that will make you lots of parts

Exactly, with a CNC anyone can make ANYTHING out of it. All need is know how. Too many clever people out there. However CNC isn't part of requirement when comes to make gun, guns were manufactured since 1232, thats what? 781 years ago, there was no CNC back then. A guy figured a way to make rifle shoot the ammo farther and in screwing motion during projectile, and was during American revolution (1776-1783) so again no CNC was used during that time as well.

We got too many smart people out there. Human mind is one of most powerful, and dangerous on this planet.

BTW, I used to work in machine shop that makes parts for military guns, airplanes, and bombs and it amazes me how easy to make them.

Did you know new rifle, I think one of most lethal one ever built. ANYONE can be marksmanship with this new rifle regardless first time or veteran. That gun can hit target at 1,000 yards away. All that user need to do is lock the target and fire them and accurately hit target that's ten football field away. That rifle cost $27,000.

Crazypaul can do that without any experience. LOL

Well for all it's advancements a gun is still nothing more than a pipe on a stick

Thats what i do is 3d modeling and cnc programming. Making the parts is easy it's the engineering thats the hard part. With the ar anyone can download the models and with a little work machine out a reciver. Whats new with the ar in terms of guns is if you mill the part to spec there is no fitting afterwards. This makes it much simpler and safer for the average person.

I should add that the upper with the bolt and barrel are much more difficult to make. I'm not saying you couldn't but much more knowlege and tools are needed

Maybe I can do that but what do I want it for?

It is illegal to carry assault weapon into California without permit from state government.

Black market? They don't follow law.

The problem with the laws is that it's not evenly applied. I wonder if your average neighbor would get a slap on the writst for this:

Breaking News

WNBA legend Chamique Holdsclaw just pled GUILTY in that crazy attack on her ex-GF -- where she FIRED A GUN inside the woman's car -- but she won't spend a single day behind bars.

TMZ broke the story ... Holdsclaw -- one of the WNBA's all-time greats -- was arrested in Atlanta last year. Cops say the 35-year-old trailed Jennifer Lacy's car in November, then attacked it with a baseball bat and fired a gun into the backseat while Lacy was inside the vehicle.

Earlier today, Holdsclaw pled guilty to 2 counts of aggravated assault, 4 counts of criminal damage, and 1 count of illegal firearm possession.

But despite the fact she FIRED A GUN ... Holdsclaw wasn't sentenced to any jail time ... instead, she got 3 years’ probation, a $3, 000 fine ... and is not allowed to possess a gun for the next 3 years.

She's also been ordered to stay away from Lacy and complete anger management ... along with 120 hours of community service.
