I am deaf and I do have an advanced degree, but I'm curious about Lamar's "Deaf Education" program. That is why I asked.

That comment is very wrong and ignorant.

My thought is, "mind your own buisness." If it doesn't affect me or has no influence on me in any way, then I have no interest in it.

ASL is a language of its own; it cannot be self-taught. That's like trying to teach yourself Chinese. If you wish to become proficient in ASL, you need to be taught by one who is qualified to do so.

I can't answer that. I've made that mistake before. I would tell someone on a forum what my field is, then suddenly everyone is asking questions (mostly senseless questions) to try to discredit me or make themselves look good. Also, another reason I do not want to comment on that is because...
