I know but it can still do the job if it's in good condition. A suicide gun needs only one good shot.

Addendum:

It also might have been the gun he used on his dad and brother. In emotional rage killings, closer is better (in the shooter's twisted mind). It's more personal.
 
Oh, Killer was nationalilty from Lebanon? My ex was Lebanon-american. She told me about her relatives are orthodox christians and They avoid muslim region in Lebanon as dangerous cultures for them.

Some hate crime against arab people in California. I noticed someone asked them a question "Are you arab?" they said yes. He was rage then attacked them since wake of 9/11 disaster.

So when you ask why did he use an "assault rifle" (technically it is not) you could just as easily ask why did such and such use a hammer? There is no outrage to the vast number of hammers in the US.

You don't understand my question. If he went to college to kill people with a hammer, how many people would be dead that day? If he went to college with AR-15, how many people would be dead that day? That's why he used the assault rifle instead of the hammer.

uh.............. what? but.... he didn't kill 20+ people. Virginia Tech shooter had only handguns and he killed 32 people.

therefore your argument is invalid.

That's a narrow view that looks at a specific instance. If it was really about victims and not about villianizing a tool we should look at the overall picture and the ar plays a much smaller part in the overall picture of violence in america.
 
As to why he chose an ar over another rifle i belive its for the reasons i gave in post 39

So you are talking about semi auto firearms? The term assault weapon being a fictional one based on cosmetic differences you would probaby add weight to your argument by calling them what they are. Semi auto firearms.

Did you know there are people that can shoot and reload revolvers faster than i can shoot a semi? I'll admit they are well above average but it's still amazing to watch. What is it specifically you don't like about semi firearms?
 
We dont call for the ban of assault hammers because a small number of them are used in an unjustifiable way. It's just a tool.
