Its a true or false question. I cant belive my IQ is 122 god im not that damn smart. Go here and see just how smart you are.

Sigh****I guess I am getting senile. :( My Otis/Stanford Binet IQ dropped 17 points from "highly intelligent" to a web test score of just "above average." Very depressing. Maybe RS is right, I should just retire to a rocking chair and "The Price is Right".

I’m about ready to bust a gut laughing here. I don’t have time right now, but I’ll do a statistical analysis of your results soon. Just off the top of my head, I’d say the probability of your scores happening by random chance are less than one in a billion. Only 2.5 percent of the population has an IQ greater than 129. And only 3 out every 1000 people have an IQ over 144. The chances of a bunch of randomly selected people all reporting IQ’s in the genius+ range are just astronomically low. Don’t tell me, let me guess—after you take the test, they try to sell you magazine subscriptions, right? Or even better yet—a detailed computerized printout of your results for the low low price of $19.95!

As promised, I calculated the probability that your results occurred by random chance. Six people reported scores totaling 845, so the mean score was 140.833. The chances of six randomly selected people having scores this high (well into the genius range) is 1.304 X 10^-11, or .00000000001304. The proof involves the central limit theorem, so if anybody wants to call me on the carpet and demand the actual calculations, just say so and I’ll gladly provide them. Bottom line—they’re trying to sell you something, and they’re not beyond blowing sunshine up your ass to do it :roll:

As further proof that the test is flawed, it seems that Liza deliberately manipulated it to get a negative score. The distribution of IQ’s is by definition a probability distribution, and probabilities less than zero are mathematically meaningless (i.e., impossible).

Gotta love those British. :thumb: 147. Yeah, right. :roll: 147 puts me at 3.13 standard deviations from the mean, which would mean that only 9 out of every 10,000 people have an IQ as high or higher than mine. If that were true, I would be acing every fucking stats test I’m taking this semester, instead of busting my balls to get B’s.
 
Lol, Levonian, you just gotta love this sort of ego-stroking mind candy, though. This is the sort of test where flipping a quarter would put you up there with Michelangelo or Hawkings!
I dunno if there is any "I.Q. Test" that could fairly measure a deaf person's intelligence, though. I knew a deaf lady who was officially as bright as a lump of dirt, but whoaaa, she had so much savvy in getting money out of churches and strangers, was great at scamming people thru the internet, etc. etc.
One thing, though, Levonian, I had to chuckle at your contention that "only 2.5 percent of the population scores higher than 129, etc." Come on now, do you really believe those stats? I mean, who in the WORLD comes up with those magic numbers at which we are supposed to nod in sage agreement with? Otherwise, I agree with you, dude, lol!
