Around here all the Mann and Regal Theaters are $9.00 for general admission. We go to a movie once in a great while, but usually we just wait for the DVD to come out. When we get that 50" Sony Wega plasma TV (and that day will come) we’ll probably stop going to movies altogether.

It doesn't matter to me I don't mind paying 7.00 a movie with my boyfriend, and no the movies doesn't have closed caption, I like to go out and do something that's why we go to the movies.
As long your boyfriend pays right cheri?

I think its $8 here... but we also have drive-in movie theatre, where you sit in your car. You can make it cheap, just have some friends hide in the trunk, then get in the car once you pay and pull forward to the parking area :)

$7 is expensive to me...

here its only $5.25 but none of those movies are open caption or Rear-view mirror caption.. so i don't go.

i rather wait to buy the DVD or rent from MC Donalds for $1 per night :D

i've never experience it myself.. but i can try to explain.. some movie theatres have a caption on back of movie theatre.. which is backwards.. and u use a mirror front of you while watching movie.. that mirror reflect words from the back of movie theatre.. telling what's been said just like captions. thats all i can explain.. i never experience myself since this area is small town and no movie theatres have it... mostly metropolian areas have them

I go see movies all the time, but of course I don't pay for them. I work at a theater, and see them for free :)

Just last sunday I took my gf to see War of the Worlds; it didn't have captions, but she likes to go anyway because she can hear the explosions and feel the vibrations through the floor. And it also helped that I interpreted the main points of the dialogue.

(Javapride here typing for Hiblue01) I usually go into matinees 5 bucks before 3:30pm for the matinees or go with my babe to the free movies cuz she works there and also rent movies from BB and Puna video thier both of cheapers.. :)
