Why is it so hard to Ignored?

I have seen some members having a hard time to try to ignored some parties that they dislike? I don't see why you have to respond back to the parties? bashing out on them are also against the rules of AllDeaf and I also see the breaking the rules made by some of you members also. Why can't you act like an adult and try to ignored? Use the ignored button that AllDeaf have provide here for us to use. Isn't that too hard to do? :dunno:


Believe me I have had my share of problems in the past with some few members, But I learned from ^Angel^ that I am also looking bad myself because I am doing the same thing as that those members are doing. All you have to do is press the bad report don't respond back because it going to backfire at you also. Please understand where the moderators and Alex are coming from. That is all I am trying to say here. I am not trying to tell you how to post but, We are all adults right? We have respect right? How about using that respect to ignored and be wise to press on bad report by the user's name if you see something that is uncall for. Please? Let's make AllDeaf better for us and freely posting happy thoughts. :grouphug:

I've broke a couple of rules myself, and I haven't complain about those two members or others as well, more of ignoring them and move onto another thread, if I complain about those members, then I should be looking at myself too because I broke as many rules as far as I can remember that why most of the time I intend to ignore them, and will conitune to do so instead of breaking rules here that is set up in AD....;)
 
Hear Hear Cheri, yea I know that feeling but I dont let it bother me. Cuz I dont want to hurt anyone just use the ingore button or bad report. As I have always use them. :hug:
 
I can see many members of us who love to talk sense of humor to build up the stories. We try to not insult each other. I assumed, we love to pick on Ravensteve in sense of humor.

Some people do not take too personal. Some people accept their joke. I am very bad joke to the members. They may get a wrong idea about me. ;)
 
well done, *great venting* also...

done the same.. as i really don't have time to agrue, or pick on a person cuz I am always busy too :) so I just nodding my head or shook my head, and say heck with it, it s no bother to waste time :) most of time I just ingore it..

At times, it's tempting to sling shit right back.. but yeah, ignoring is usually the best solution in most cases. :mrgreen:

In all cases, I think you can only make a statement that you believe in once... if you repeat it, after someone disagrees with you or continues to be an ass... you're officially part of the cycle that wont stop until somebody or you cry uncle.

Think about it.. which would you rather have... class or endless drama?

Liza, I love your comment :hug:.... I am trying here myself too sometimes I would hit reply and type up some insults and then rethink and said nah ::::use backspace:::: erase it all off. ;)
 
Great post Cheri! Glad you brought this to our attention. Everyone needs a reminder every once in awhile! We've lost several members because of this. We'd like to see them come back.

Let's start over and stay clean!

Maybe you can still write posts in a certain way that doesn't rub others the wrong way? Leave the personal attacks out, but still focus on the behavior rather than the person? Wanna talk about what would be the best way to confront one another without slinging mud?

Katzie, Thank you sweetie. :hug: I am sorry to hear we lost some members because of that, I have left a few times myself but, I know that AllDeaf been my favorite site for a long time, Nobody is gotta let me run out. I have some great friends here who make me want to come back here. ;)

Oh, I know...

Some people wanted to win back in their own "battles", while some others give up and let it go. So it is hard for people to leave it that way where they feel they are not really done with what they were doing.
 
Great thread, Cheri honey - I do agree with you.

While I have been lucky not to have a bad report against me, or given a warning, which I know I deserved in several past posts, I am still ... not happy with the attitude of some members here.

I cannot believe that I have been labeled a murderer, a pervert, a whoremonger, and several other choice names by a few certain members in the space of only a few months... and also while some members did rise to my defense, other members just made the situation worse.

No, I am not leaving AllDeaf, no way, but I have decided to cut back on my time here, until I feel absolutely certain that I can keep my temper in check and all hurt/outraged feelings all gone. After all, this is one of my favorite sites, and I don't want to lose touch.

I will still continue to check in, answer to a few threads, and keep up with the AD Caucus. That is one event I am looking forward to, although it scares me a little bit...I don't want to mess it up.

Right now, I am in two situations here in St. Louis, one which will take up a lot of my time, and I am not happy to find myself entangled in them...so if I don't appear from time to time, just remember, my dear friends, I am fine...just probably trying my best to cope with life itself.

You know how to contact me - don't be afraid. I don't bite those who are my friends.

Bad report is to report to the Mod and report that the post was out of control and/or bashing post. I have used it a few times. And it works well. Hope this clear up for ya.

It is the vertical black line within a red triangle, in the left-side column, under the avatar area, and next to the "on-line" button. You can automatically report a "bad" posting by clicking it.
 
Oh, I see it now, Reba and thanks, Pom....a Tattle-Tale button, lol. Just looking on this page alone, how come I don't have this triangle.....oh, nevermind, I guess it is because I'm the author and would not tattle on myself, right? :mrgreen:
 
hm it's not so hard to ingore I just not reply in some threads I ain't happy with that probably wud be the best case and about PMs... when I pm some1 i know and I knew they won't reply to me cuz they are ingoring me I was like mm okay fine ;) cuz i can't expect even A reply from them if they are too busy for me :roll: anyways.. move on is the best solution but some problems I feel not resolved tho but eh I just sweep them under the rug and never had to bring them up again cuz it's not gonna happen again :P

:lol: tattle tale button, that was a good one haha....I hardly press that button because I only use it when a thread becomes a flaming war, where members would agrue back and fourth, and serveral members end up getting hurt, that's the only time I had used that button, other than that, I mostly ignore it, or send a pm to a mod to let them about a thread that should be taking care of....
