enjoy the walk.
walking is the best too.

South Carolina. The Bridge Run isn't a marathon. But the Isle of Palms in SC is a marathon or a half-marathon. I ran the half-marathon. People who ran the full marathon went around the course twice. I was so slow that I finished at the same time the full marathon winner did!I am still a rookie for running. I am learning about each races in each states. So you were talking about the marathon in NC?

I've run the Bridge Run several times in the past, and did the Bridge Walk a few years after I couldn't run anymore. It wasn't easy but it was always fun. Except for the real serious runners who compete for the prize money, the other runners try to get their personal best times, and have a social occasion on the bridge. Some people run it in groups, some in costumes. It makes it interesting
Cooper River Bridge Run - Home
Just did a mini triathlon (400m swim, 9.3 mile bike, 3.1 mile run). It was hard as hell, especially the swim part. Swimming in TN river is NOTHING compared to swimming in a nice little lap pool with a line on the floor to help you keep straight (with nobody bumping into you). Running was still my weakest leg, so I think I'm going to start participating in 5k runs to help me improve my running.
WOW! Congratulations!!!!!
Send me the link for the score. I am curious!
hehehe
Hahahaha.. Um.. it's kinda embarrassing...... I'll PM it to you.
no you should not. I should be the one who is embarrassed because I don't do that three sports in one day. That is a hell job.
congrats. hehe when is the next 5K for you? For me, in sept, for 10K. can't wait!!

Thank you. My aunt and uncle used to run together for many years. Eventually they got their sore knees too. Ugh I asked them how to avoid it. Nothing just dont run.sadly, my aunt passed away a couple of years ago. My uncle continues to run only if he goes with his grandson who is 9 yrs old have interests for 5k. wow! He said, "just take it easy on knees" that is it. True. I will figure out how to take it easy but impossible to avoid it. I used to hate running until last fall. For some reason it hits me hard and i just started running. I ll see how far I would run and it is not a year yet. until in the fall it will be a year for me to run.
I hope dr will be able to give you some comforts for your hip. I feel you about it.I admire you for running the race every month. I didn't. I only did the 10k run two times. hopefully i will attend the 10k run in sept as it is in my hometown.
Do you like to run?
Yes or No

Aww I am aware about the damaged knees.
I first time tried the 10k run at age 40. I did the second time with 10k run last month. I plan to participate 10k run in sept. My goal is to do the 10k for 3 times in 2011. I have never tried the 5K but i dont regret about the first time with 10K race instead. I am working on trying to participate the one half marathon but i am not ready! lol
i know there is no way to avoid or find a way to take it easy on knees.I only run about 3 times a week.
