Sad to say some people dont have thick skins or know how to let it go.
*nodding agreement sadly*

You can go be very angry at me because I was one of them who cause the religion subforum to close, or was it really my fault? I dunno.
We could remove the offending comments rather than closing the threads but as you know, we are not on AllDeaf 24/7. The problem is, when it comes to any kind of religion discussion, some of the members are not able to take it with a grain or to discuss it civilized. That results into posts which are slashed across, belittling, enticing, provoking and talking smack to each other.
I could say the same thing about the War & Political News Forum and Hearing Aid & Cochlear Forum but the difference is, The religion section is always heavily favored with emotional aspects because they get to the point where they overlap their religion perspective rather than dividing the thoughts or to weight the pros/cons of this or that.
While I realize that religion issues has a great significant information and I admit, It's interesting but when it comes to the point where it gets into a rubble, it shows how people can't really take an insight to it.

No, nobody are fault but the problem is some people take other people´s different POV on their own belief personal and think there´re only one religion, we should follow to. It´s sad that they cannot accept that there´re thousands religions who have different belief than just one religion. Last year was awful... we learn our lesson and respect different POV since Alex re-open the religion sub-forum. Sadly it doesn´t work. Focus, Science and theory view on religion is my interest point because I read Bible history a lot, not bible vereus.
Like what Lumbinlin say is true about you... Yes, you educated us with Buddhism issues really good. It´s sad that you were being attack over your belief on Buddhism... It shows no respect on their part.
Yeah, it was a disappointment back there..Ohh I didn't expect you to take this personal, but I was just sacrasm due to my frustrating that they didn't ban the members instead of closing the forum, that's all.
No, I do not take your post personal but just let you know what I feel.
Ohh thank youYeah, it was a disappointment back there..
Willkommen- Yeah I know... *sigh*

Ohh okay I got it![]()
The religion forum was open in the past.
It went well at first, then people started attacking each other and starting flame wars.
It got to a point where it needed to be temporarily closed.
Later, it was re-opened when members agreed to not let it get out of hand and to do their best to keep their comments neutral.
Well, it got out of hand... worse than before.
So, it was locked again.
Even in non-religious threads, some members would go off-topic by adding a religious comment and others would jump in starting a flame war. Those threads ended up getting locked.
If everyone really wanted the religion forum to be re-opened, then they should have kept their mouths shut and shown respect.
It's something everyone needs to earn.

Religion topics can be very interesting to discuss. Unfortunately, sadly it can go too far if any one can't be civil and respect each other.

Haha, I can easily imagine how tiring it can be to constantly watch the religious threads.

Not? Ok, I'm getting some sarcasm here. So, Yes, I did remove other's and your posts because it has no relations to this thread.
Co-signInstead of close down threads, why dont ban members who cross the line? I think religion forums should remain open because everyone can learn from something from other different religion and it may help to shed off "stereotypes" of one certain religion group.
If I am mod, I would ban people for being retarded or lash out personal attack than closing down forums. Pity.
