On 08/01/08 at approximately 915pm, four African Amiercan Juvenile
males attempted to rob 2 Gallaudet Students at gunpoint on campus at
the track. Members of our Community are reminded to be cautious
both on and off campus, during the day time as well as at night. Pay
close attention to your surrounding, walk in groups of 3 or more persons
and remain in a well lit area. Avoiding unlit areas (s) and any area
you feel a subjects might hide. Gallaudet is a large campus, but it is
not immune from crime, we are reminded NOT to be complacent.
DPS is assisting MPD with their investigations as well as
conducting a 100% ID checks of ALL persons entering campus. Should anyone have
any information pertaining to this incident, you are encouraged to
contact, MPD's Deaf and Hard of Hearing Liaison Unit at
