On Gallaudet Campus Robbery

Ouch that's pretty bad. It would be scary to be in that spot if happens at any campus.

Yup, that's so true.

USC is located in South LA, that's closer to bad neighborhood and gang territories but surrounding of USC is okay, crime is just happens in anywhere.

Gally has already did like that for many years, even not all are 100% effective and crime is happen in anywhere, even there would be crime in your area, no matters.

Not all crime could be avoided, period.

Yup but 80's and 90's are worse but it's seems getting improve in some part, more inner city blacks are pushed to move out to suburb, especially in Prince George County (PGC) due gentifrication in some neighborhood of DC in after 80's/90's, PGC was majority whites in prior to 90's but it's majority blacks now.

And with the shape our economy is in, I'd say we will be looking at a higher incidence of this type of crime for a while yet.

Well, the crime in PGC is quietly bad in some part but not much difference in between 90's and 2000's, change in demographic isn't always bad, just depends on situation, PGC is better than in Baltimore and Detroit.

Agreed. Some cities are better off employment wise than others. Also, it depends on the population make-up.

That's true.
Temple University is rotten neighbor.
Hopkin University's neightbor is not nice place.
Many college campus's neighbor has ugly place or not safe place.

If, they hire security then increase $$$ for tuition. That's bad news for student can't afford for tuition.

You know how much cost for college to pay staffs, security, cookers, janitors, fix any damaged, etc.

My friend work at PPD in gally, and he earn $23/hr. :roll:
 
I don't know. Let Safety deptament decide and discuss how to protect us. I will find out and call tomorrow to check out.

We try to stop for crime us. We hope and pray for help police care of us. I don't know. We find out. :)

Yup, that what I was concern about that.

It would be bad for any students who from some states with poor VR support or no support to pay the college cost, or can't get financial support.

It would make them to use student loan and end up in huge debt after graduation.

I find it a little racist to suggest destroying a ghetto just because a couple of Gallaudet students (whose rich parents are probably footing their college bills) got robbed by a few black men.

I've seen some pretty nasty stuff said towards Black people by members of the Deaf community I live in.

Just because there's a few bad apples, doesn't mean that every black person is going to give you trouble. It's wrong to assume that.

I think that they need a better location to be safe. These black people are living with bad neighbors such thieves. Their children need to have a better environment with new people and new life. The congresses are not going anything to make them feel safe. They keep these people being poor and poorer. It is more important for the children to break the cycle of crimes for the generations.

I am sure that there are HUD programs in some places that they did not know about because they cannot afford to have an internet service or lack of information out there.
 
Perhaps Gallaudet should relocate instead if it's such a pain in the ass to be in a ghetto?

No, Gally wouldn't relocation, I'm fully doubt that would happen and it would ruin of their history and very expensive to build schools, dorms or buildings, also set as campus. Neighborhood around Gally aren't bad now, unlike in 80's and 90's.

Not all blacks are doing like that, there's alot of middle class black families in Prince George County (PGC).
