we 'hear it more' because we have nothing left to 'cover the tinnitus' ie masking...so its much more obvious
. yup its no joy i dont mind being deaf, but tinnitus is really that bad...

I agree with you 100%!!! Sorry you have to deal with this too.

I'm feeling sick and it's making me sad. I've had no voice and have not been able to sleep because of coughing and been running a fever for a week now. It doesn't seem to be getting any better. No cold symptoms like runny nose or anything. Just a very deep, wracking coughing and fever. My ribs, throat, neck, chest, abs hurt from it all. I can't afford to go to the doctor and if it's something that kills me, hopefully the boyfriend knows to not call an ambulance and just let me die because I can't afford the life ruining crushing medical bills.

what about some euculapus leaves bay leaves in a hot of hot water, and a towel to cover it and put your head in it and breathe in vapours?
cough syrup over the counter? surely there must be...

and...feed the cold' in other words , try eating, dont starve, as the food in metabolism will 'collect' bugs and down it out... and drink heap, hell try ginger-ales... its gentle on the tummy

I am feeling very undecided about going to a funeral of one of my daughter's friend. He was only 38 yo and the coffin most likely will be open.
I really liked him and he used to call me when he was a hard having . I am going with my daughter and some of her friends . The young man dies from a blood clot. This is so sad. I am Jewish and we do not have open coffins and the person is my daughter's age. We really should let our loves one know how much we love them as you just never know what will happen.

I'm not familiar with any funeral services where the casket is open during the service. So, if you want to just go to the service, you should be ok.

If you do go to the viewing, sometimes, you can avoid passing by the casket. It depends on where the family members will be lined up for the visitors to offer their condolences.

The "coughing" as she was talking about...was going around...(even here in Florida)...I had it twice....and got some Codeine cough syrup for it...I coughed so much I could not sleep at times...and yeah, my ribs ached....and my doggie got out of bed....looked at me "so disgusted"........

I'm sure the ER would help....and dunno why she isn't on Medicaid since she says she cannot afford a doctor and has no Insurance.....Here in my City...if you've no insurance, then you go to the hospital and apply for an hospital card....and get free treatment if you qualify....

Plus many hospitals have a charity fund where you can apply to have your bill forgiven if unable to pay.

I meant to say at the wake the coffin will be open. , I only been to two other wakes with an open coffin, the person was a lot older and lived good full life. My best friend dies when she was 40 yo , but her coffin was kept closes. I have 2 uncles that dies very young and their stones are in the shape of tree trunks cut down to show their lives where cut short.
Thank you for telling me this. I will be my daughter and her friends.
The young man that dies walked with me in my daughter wedding march, I thought that was so sweet of him. He had a heart of gold. I am already crying!

relieved today as I finally done the fencing last night, posts upright and straight and concrete all 6 posts , a big tick of the list, now im gonna get back to reading for study without the mental 'nag' at a job has to be done...still few more work left but the worst is over...
and this was partly was tinnitus was bad, but also noises coming from everywhere outside (al nieghbours busy doing building and such, one is coverting a carport into a garage...another is fencing, another is mowing..grrr no quiet!...and they think it doesnt matter than im deaf...dead wrong!

Saw the eye specialist today and finally have my surgery scheduled or the first week of May....looking so much forward to it. If all goes well (lens) and my vision is improved then I won't have to have another surgery for the scar tissue on the right eye (retina)....(fingers crossed).... Friend of mine said she had the surgery...and her vision was excellent....like an "eagle"....Still buggy-eyed from all the tests and eye drops.

am feeling very exhausted from countless of meetings and conference calls in just one week...

eirlys you can go to a drug store and buy something for your fever. Like someone said most hospital will treat people for free if they can't afford to pay.
