Exactly. I have been using the term for months...ever since this particular fringe movement came into media attention. Back then, they even referred to themselves as "Tea Baggers." I was unaware of the sexual connotation until they brought it into the spotlight.

As you have mentioned before, money isn't everything. It was the principle of taxation without representation that was more important to the colonists than money or material (tea).

It wasn't the amount of the taxes that mattered, it was the method of imposition.

Same as today. It's not specific dollar amounts that matter but how the taxes are imposed.

I've always disapprove the spending beyond the Congressionally approved amount.

Bush's last year deficit was around $420 billion, which was his worse, versus Obama's $1.85 trillion. A 4 1/2 fold increase in spending on money we don't have. And then you have the projected amount over the next 3 to 8 years that'll just make all presidents' previous deficit amount in total look like chump change.

Many of them were complaining to their representatives and the White House as individuals but they weren't organized. They've finally decided that they've been patient long enough and want to take their protesting up to the next level, to widespread organization.

For years during the Bush administration conservatives were complaining about the budget. There was some relief from taxes for a while but it was temporary.

You aren't using what Bush did as an excuse for what Obama does, right?
