Back to School!!!!

My son starts on September 3rd as being 2nd grader! He is not thrilled to go back to school...oh well! He will be happy to see his friends. :)
 
Classes start on Monday, 15 credits, second to the last semester I have as an undergrad. I finally graduate in May!
 
The public school in my area start Aug 26, just next Tuesday.

For me, I will not start at college until Jan 2009.
 
I'm done with college (for now) but now I'm a teacher at a high school. School starts Monday (the 25th)...and I'm NOT READY!!!!!!!! Can someone please call the school and tell them to postpone the start date! Please! Please! Please!
 
No school this time for me. I went to college in 1996 to 1999 and a semester in 2001 here in Seattle.

My sons went back to school last week on the 11th. Ever since the school opened last week, my schedule has been a lot crazier but I'm not complaining. In fact, I'm enjoying it. :)
 
My c,lassroom is almost done for my 4th graders...just went to the teacher's store and spent $50 of my own money for some really cool posters.

I know my students will rock academically this year cuz I will make SURE of that. One of my students last year passed the STATE ASSESMENTS last year...

Deaf Schools provide pooor quality education? yea right!!!
 
My son's school start on Aug 28 and I will be at work. I will be praying for him to get up and go to school without miss the bus. Other wise I will be pissed if he miss the bus.

He cant wait to go back to school.
 
Thank you to everyone for post a comments about you guys. In my state the kids go back to school last week some 25th. The most college students go back to school on 25th Monday.

My daughter starts her first day at middle school on Monday the 25th...she is a nervous wreck!!!

I hope she will be ok cuz middle school can be HELL for a lot of kids!

Last year in high school, our school hold 1,500 students limit but we had 2,000 students last year. I know how you feel. :)

I HATED MIDDLE SCHOOL The WORST TIMES OF MY LIFE..were there...Everyone seemed to be so apart i dunno I hated it...
except for 6th grade...but 7th and 8th suckkkkkkkkked!
i thought high school was gonna suck also..but it wasnt soo bad.. as long as i did my whole OWn thing i was fine
but middle school was time where you wanted to fit in with everyone.. and be cool... and that sucked for me! ughh i hope THE BEST FOR YOUR DAUGHTER :D
 
I start on the 8th of Sept. I'm looking forward to my housemates but I'm not looking forward to the lack of sleep, no time, and anxiety over the 20 million things I have to accomplish. I signed up for too many leadership roles this year...

Good luck to all! Just don't forget your pencil on the first day of class! (yes - it happened to me)

Actually, I think it is a good idea to have AllDeaf College right here on our forum because we learned to study what is like from Deaf Culture, ASL, Deaf Communities, and learning to speak with funny voices. SG may be making a joke about AllDeaf College. It is good to know that many Hearies and Hard of Hearing which also make up late deafend or become hard of hearing late in their early childhood to adult. They are curious about us and want to learn something about ASL and about our Deaf Culture. :cool:

As for me being an elder from First Nation Reserve in Canada, I am returning to another third year to finish up with my general courses and computer labs studies. The courses is long so I hope to finish it up even if I can not finish by the end of the year of 2009. :fingersx:
 
Oh, I forgot to mention that I will be returning back to college on September 2, 2008. :Oops:

That's good idea. I took a deaf studies, deaf education and ASL class at my deaf school. I got passed it with my good grader. :) I raised to mainstream school with deaf and hard of hearing. Some of hard of hearing with oral. They never learn ASL and deaf education. They were not interest to learn deaf culture. I don't force to them. It up to them. I have to be patient when they are using SEE. They are working at community school with hearing impaired kids in my hometown.
