Another, "I didn't do it!"

All of the facts have been laid out. This smear campaign tactic was used before by David Axelrod against Blair Hull when Obama was campaigning for that Senate seat. David Axelrod's connection to Bialek is now public information.

Cain should be pissed. At least one allegation was already been proven to have no merit. The other public accuser has friends claiming she is a liar.

He had it right all along, it is a smear campaign.

Look at you, assuming he did nothing wrong. Way to go! How about that OJ Simpson trial!

Wow, just... wow. There is still pattern here. Just because 1 "friends" claim she is a liar doesn't make it so. There is still a trail of tears here. Clean up one and you still have the others. AND you have Cain's own speech to clean up. Sorry, It's just not working out for you.

Thing is there is a "pattern" both ways... And it was not just Blair Hull.... Obama/Axelrod did it to Jack Ryan too.

There is a lot of damage done already and I really don't think Cain or his team is going to be able to repair. Suffice it to say, I'm not holding my breath.

He was able to raise 9.4 million dollars when a month ago he couldn't even raise half of that.

What pattern are you refering to? What the heck does Blair Hull and Obama/... have to do with Cain?

Wait... Are you implying that Obama is actually behind the scene creating negative spin agains Cain? :laugh2: If so, that's hilarious because I look forward to Cain and Obama debating. What I've seen so far Obama has nothing to fear and would be looking forward to an easy win against Cain.

Blaming a victim, and discrediting an alleged victim are two different things.

Blaming a victim (which is wrong to do) can only happen after it's been proven that there was a crime and victim.

Discrediting an alleged victim (where a crime has not yet been proven) happens when trying to defend an accused by downplaying the veracity of the accuser's testimony.

Blaming a victim is an admission by the perp that a crime happened but that the victim "deserved" whatever happened.

That's not happened in the Cain case.

Why do you think they go to such trouble to discredit? So they can say...see, she deserved it.:cool2: She's a bad bad woman; can't believe her.

A) He Cain wasn't a politician at the time.

B) They are saying the association made the agreement...not Cain

And you are completely ignoring the fact that Cain was the head of the association that made the agreement.:cool2:

No....the possible connection/pattern is Axelrod. What I am saying is Steinhauer has lot of dots and the other side has alot of dots. Do they connect? :dunno: Best to wait and see before passing judgement.

In this case a string of "association", or in other words, there is a trend that lend credibility to each other.

For example, if someone came up to me and told me my boss is a dangerous person to be alone with I would think 'ok, sure whatever'
If a second person told me the same thing I would think 'Oh, ok I will be careful'
Then a third person... I would think 'Uh oh, I need to make sure someone else is in the room with me next time'.

Add this up to 5 times and add in the comments that Cain made and I think you will see where I am getting the impression from. I don't personally hate Cain (never met him), but based on what I have heard so far, I am not be inclined to think well of him. And yes, we have to use past history to judge future behaviors. How else will we decide?

Then add to that the disrespect of "Princess Nancy" and I think anyone that is not walking around with blinders on can see the basic character that would lend even more credence to the probability that the sexual harrassment complaints were in regard to very real behaviors demonstrated by Cain. My God, he made the Princess Nancy remark when he was trying to be on his BEST behavior in light of the sexual harrassment scandal.

Or say "see....it didn't happen" It wouldn't be the first false claim ever made

I recall Repubs made a big deal of Clinton's "I didn't inhale" college days. If you want to be the leader, prepare for intense scrutiny; from when you were a fetus up until now. It ain't fair but it is the truth.

Why did this association keep him around? Between his salary, and all of these severances, they could have hired someone cheaper.

At at the same time, minimized Bush's cocaine use in his college days, and the fact that he was a failing student.

There are patterns popping out all over the place.

Do you realize you are victimizing an innocent man?

The difference there is Clinton lied. He was caught lying and admitted he lied when caught.

He said he never inhaled .... Probably hasn't exhaled ....

Cain was caught lying. He has changed his story more than once.

Oh, wait...Repubs are allowed to lie.
