Another, "I didn't do it!"

If there was no sexual harrassment, then he shouldn't have a problem rescinding the part of the agreement that states the complaintants can't discuss the details publicly. It would vindicate him.
Maybe the women don't want to pay back the money.

Please correct me if I am wrong... There are 3 women and two have confidentiality agreements preventing disclosure. A third stated she will come forward and has no such agreement in place.

Am I understanding the fact here right?

Yes, you are correct. And one of the two under the settlement agreement has stated she will come forward as soon as Cain legally releases her from the restriction. She made said statement through her attorney.

Yes. Because Perry spilled the beans. You cannot accept that your wonderful GOP is not flawless. Turns out that they are composed of the same type of people they warned us about.

Not gonna get into this with you. It bores me, frankly.

And it bothers me as well. Guess it's victory at all costs even if it means backstabbing members of your own party.

Cain has no authority in the matter. You keep trying to implicate Cain - the breached confidentiality agreement was with the National Restaurant Association.

Again, there was no "settlement". A settlement is a legal term. Get a legal dictionary.

Again, you are incorrect. And yes, there was a settlement. Money was paid and conditions agreed to so that the women who filed the legal complaints would not press for the case to go to court. That is what a settlement is.

I'm not implicating Cain...Perry managed to do that and Cain simply confirmed it! LOL

When was the court action started, case number?

If it had even gone that far, the "settlement" would have been more that $35,000.

Looks like Cain and Romney fit right in there with him.

Ever read "Women in Power?"

..edit: May not have the title right - its about President's wives who knew their husbands were cheating.

Proof it was a "settlement" and not a "severance package"?

Proof it was Cain and not the Restaurant Assoc.?

Exactly. Which is why they paid the women the money they did so they wouldn't go to court and have to pay out their ass! What part of that are you having so much trouble understanding? That is called a settlement. Just like when an insurance company pays you a couple grand for your "pain and suffering" in a car accident so you won't take the case to court and get a bundle out of them.

You can't be this thick, Steinhauer.

settlement is not an admission to fault. All I see is unconfirmed gossip. Suspicious yes but it's still a gossip.

No, I am not "thick". I would think that anyone who had been sexually harassed would not have "settled" and would have gone to court. Anyone who wanted money would have cried "Rape" when they didn't get their way.

(just an expression - because we all know they exist)

The Restaurant Associate paid it on behalf of Cain because he is the one named in the complaint. In fact, Cain was one of the highest up members of the association at the time.

Prove it was a severence package. There is nothing to indicate that. The lawyers are calling it a settlement. It came following a complaint made for sexual harrassment against Herman Cain, not after a dismissal.:laugh2:

And who advised the women to "settle" out of court if the Assoc was going to have to pay "out the ass"? Did the women have bad counsel? Legal malpractice?

That's just it. You think. You don't know. Many of these complaints are settled before trial.

What is that rape comment? Where did that come from?
