You are a disturbed individual. This thread is turning into a revictimize the victims. Disgusting.
Again, you misrepresent facts.

What? Because it amounted to one year's salary doesn't make it a severance package. It was already identified as a settlement.
Technically a severance package IS a settlement.....but not necessarily the type settlement you are looking for.
For me, I don't claim to know what happened. I will wait for all the facts. It's early

He can support their doing so. In fact, he can call for it. Instead, he has avoided it.
ummm .... actually, no, he hasn't avoided it. He said it was up to the National Restaurant Association.
Even the alleged victim has been claiming it has been up to the National Restaurant Association (through her attorney of course).
The only person claiming Cain is holding this over the alleged victim's head .... has been .... well .... um ... you.

That's what I heard Cain say during a TV interview....TxGolfer is the one that suggested is was a severance package.
Only the good liars make it, heh?Hmmm, Cain is such a terrible liar. Definitely not Presidential material.![]()

They don't give you a "severance package" for a sexual harrassment complaint.![]()
Proof? He has asked for his accusers to come forward *shrug*

Only the good liars make it, heh?![]()
And they will as soon as they are no longer legally bound to remain silent. Duh! He knows he is asking for something they are legally forbidden to do at this time. Pretty chicken shit tactic of his, if you ask me.![]()

Oh ... so it is his fault they signed an agreement?![]()
I have no doubt he urged them to do so, and that they regret it immensely.
Yes, I am refusing to answer any more victimize the victims posts. I just find it one of the most disgusting tactics that anyone can use. It is bad enough when a defense attorney uses it in court, but for someone who has nothing to gain to resort to it....I am beyond words. Or at least words that would not get me an immediate ban.
"WASHINGTON — The National Restaurant Association gave $35,000 — a year’s salary — in severance pay to a female staff member in the late 1990s after an encounter with Herman Cain, its chief executive at the time, made her uncomfortable working there, three people with direct knowledge of the payment said on Tuesday.
The woman was one of two whose accusations of sexual harassment by Mr. Cain, now a Republican candidate for president, led to paid severance agreements during his 1996-99 tenure at the association. Disclosure of the scale of the severance further challenged his initial description of the matter as a “witch hunt,” as did new descriptions from the woman’s friends and colleagues of her level of discomfort at work."
