Ever go to a grocery store (or any other similar store), shop for food (or other things), go to check out at the "20 items or less" lane... and end up having to wait behind a customer who has more than 20 items?
I have.
In fact, last night... I was at Walmart when this happened. I had a cart with 13 items and was on my way to check out. I saw a couple check out lanes that were open and those were for "20 items or less". Since I had under 20 items, I decided to use those check out lanes.
One of them had a customer who had a cart full of things. So, I decided to go to the other one.
WTF!? This woman cut in front of me quickly as I was approaching the check out lane. Oh well, shit happens... it's only another customer and another couple minutes longer.
Oh, wait... she has a cart full of things! What the hell!?
Not only did it take too long, she was also clumsy as well! She would try to pile everything up on the itty bitty counter (which was actually intended for 20 items or less). Of course, things kept falling over since there wasn't exactly enough room for them.
As time went by, I noticed the line behind me getting longer and longer.
Yep, everyone behind me had less than 20 items. In fact, I was probably the only customer in front of them with over 10 items (except for the lady in front of me).
You're probably saying that I could have taken the other lane. Well, I'm glad I didn't. At the other lane, the customer was giving the cashier a hard time with the payment. He was going through his wallet trying to use various credit cards. One by one, they weren't working out properly. He was also spending his time loading the cart before making his payment.
Now, back to my check out lane... which I had to wait almost 15 minutes at. When she finally left, I quickly put all of my things on the counter. Of course, all 13 of my items only occupied half of the itty bitty counter space. The whole process actually took about a minute including the swiping of my credit card, putting the bags in my cart, and getting my receipt.
As I walked away, the customer at the other check out lane was just finishing up.
Boy, talk about customers being ignorant and not respecting the "20 items or less" policy. Although the cashiers could say, "no"... it's more of making the customers happy than denying them. Ugh!
So, any of this ever happen to you? I'm sure it has... discuss!

Some people have FULL cart of groceries and other vary of items for that check out, that's so stupid. I usually have a lot of items, but not count how many I have. So I just scan fast and bag them (I used to be courtesy clerk, that's why I bag them fast...habit
