If I were you, I'd stick with where I am working and keep looking for better job. Doing this way can increase chances of landing better job.

I did this way recently, I hate warehouse job, boring packing contact lens... So, finally found a great job. But had to start as temp with them while working at warehouse. It been killed me. In the end, I got hard offer and became permanent with my new job, so I resigned warehouse job last week!!! Finally I need a good break. Man! I can't refuse this because more pay, no punch in clock, work mostly on my own meaning I have responsible to finish my job without anyone telling me to. Pay, sheesh! nice!

So, I see best is NOT to quit job without any other job offer!

if grocery is seperated in 2 loads tax would be charged to each load seperately I mean splits tax, same if altogether once :hmm:

I used to seperate 2 loads above $50 each to get each receipt of 10 cents off a gallon for gas at safeway, if altogether once over 100 I would get only one receipt, 10 cents off

Yeah right, I was confused too...cause it would be the same anyways whether shes sepaerated the food items or not...

I work at Wal-Mart and I used to be a cashier. When I was on the express lane I would have people come up with full carts and I was not allowed to say anything to the customers. If the customers behind that customer asked me why I didnt say anything I said I was not allowed, but they are more welcome to say something to customers with more than 13 items
 
When I'm on the express lane, I've seen customers having more than 10-15 items in their cart, but I was scared to say something to the customer in front of me but I was surprised that the cashier did not say a word...so I let it go...

Shame on them for putting the pressure on the customer to solve this.....
 
The intention of this was to confuse the consumer and they would think it would be wise to go to longer line to save taxes, but in reality the clerk lied to this customer and it worked like charm.

Exactly... we're there to serve the customers, not to push them away.

The "20 items or less" thing isn't exactly a rule or policy that we can easily overlook.

However, if it was a "cash & check only" thing... then it could be easily enforced because there is no credit card machine. Simple as that. :)
