I speech read and talk as my primary form of communication. This is how I was raised. Now that I'm an adult, I am choosing to learn to sign, and then will give up speech reading and talking, except for with family members who don't know how to sign.

Yep, ear gear lol. My Naida UP's are fine if my hair is wet or I'm near a mister. I only need the ear gear if I'm going to be near splashing or one of the rare days it actually rains here.

My solution was to iron "Warning - I cannot hear. Use Caution!" with the symbol of the ear with a slash through it, onto the back of my cycling shirts.

Thanks! I've had people think my HA was BT as well! Security at the airport asked me to take them out for that spinny x-ray thing. I said they're hearing aids and they're like "Ohhhh". I joked with them, asked them what did you think this one was my business line and this one is my party line? Lol

I got purple, since I'm obsessed with purple. My aid is also purple, but a different shade, so they don't match. But I don't care! I agree color molds help people notice I'm deaf/HOH, especially at school!

Used the EasyLink and MyLink to listen to iTunes on my computer and it worked great :) I walked all the way across the house and the signal was still crystal clear :)

As someone who went deaf post-lingually at 8 years old, and was denied the chance to learn ASL, I highly encourage you to give your son both languages (English and ASL). It is much easier to learn ASL as a child, than as an adult.

Mine are in my avatar as well. I used to have very light lavender molds that you could barely see.

Yep, tube lock. Is used so they don't have to glue the tubes. My newest molds have this.
