Very poorly. Better watch out for the grammar Nazis.![]()
Did you call me?Very poorly. Better watch out for the grammar Nazis.![]()
Did you call me?So in other words, you're agreeing with the factual statement made by the person you just laughed at with utter contempt and disdain. If you're going to be consistent, you now have to laugh at yourself with utter contempt and disdain. Or better yet, a simple apology would suffice.I never said it was a federal law, I said it was the De Facto language of the U.S.
Feel free to review what I said earlier.
De facto - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
One of the requirements for U.S. citizenship through naturalization is to take the naturalization test to demonstrate that you are able to read, write, and speak basic English and that you have a basic knowledge of U.S. history and government (also known as “civics”).
So now you're saying it is a federal law, right?I laugh because I know something you know absolutely nothing about. Zilch, nada. I laugh because you think you know the answers and the law.
Well, you don't. You have no idea what you are talking about.
So there, a law, not just ANY law, but a law applicable to ANY person who wishes to become a Citizen from a FOREIGN country. Not just Mexico - ANY country.
USCIS - Naturalization Test
Now, feel free to go right on ahead and tell me how racist I am and how I misunderstood everything. After all, this thread is about Illegals currently residing in our country.
Please .... do it for children
O SNAP!
It's cool, bro. I'm just an immigrant. legal one that is. *showing you my American passport*![]()

You may be eligible for an exception to the English and civics naturalization requirements if you are unable to comply with these requirements because of a physical or developmental disability or a mental impairment.
To request this exception, submit Form N-648, Medical Certification for Disability Exceptions. This form must be completed by a licensed medical or osteopathic doctor, or licensed clinical psychologist.

I really need to work on my "tongue in cheek" humor.![]()

You never heard of public schools?
Okaaaaay.
Well, is English taught at Gallaudet as a foreign language? Or, are Gally students required to pass the EPT in order to attend College level courses?
I still have not misunderstood anything.
Does Gallaudet have a "Foreign Language Department"?
Is Spanish considered a "foreign language" in America? What about Mexico?
Is English considered a "foreign language" in America? What about Mexico?
Are U.S. Government employees required to speak English?
Are road signs written in English? Is English the "native language" taught in our public school systems? Are languages other than English considered to be "foreign" languages?
Yes, I know, ASL is the exception, but it stands for AMERICAN Sign Language. Is ASL considered a "foreign" language by the U.S. Government, or the language of Deaf Americans?
Now .... would you be awfully thrilled, if there was a large group of "illegal" Brits that attended Gallaudet that started demanding (and suing) teachers for not signing in BSL?
For Reba - interpreters in hospitals for foreign languages is common. Interpreters in U.S. Courts is also common (and required). I was not referring to the language used by foreigners needing to be interpreted, I was referring to the language used by Americans - which is English.
Courts are conducted in English. Prescriptions are written in English.
Now, anytime you purchase .... anything, it has instructions in English and Spanish.
15 years ago ..... nope. Why do you think that is the case?
I know, ASL is the exception (but not really). AMERICAN Sign Language is considered a foreign language in England. If illegal Brits suddenly and in large numbers attended Gally and demanded that teachers and students accomodate them by signing in BSL, would you be awfully thrilled? Or, would you (correctly) feel that since they are now HERE, they should learn the language?

one thing that can happen sometimes is that some people who are racist or have a lot of negative stereotypes refuse to see that in themselves, instead blaming others, often groups or individuals with less overall power/privilege than them.
Wirelessly posted
The English requirement section of that act is a joke.
1 out of 3 basic sentences?
Native languages aren't taught in school systems. If a student does not have a native language by the time they enter school, you can be assured that they will be eligible for all forms of assistance. What you appear to be referring to is ESL. And how in the world do you expect those immigrants that you have such disdain for to become productive members of the work force and pay their fair share of taxes without ESL? Americans are notorious for being unilingual. And that is certainly not something to be proud of.

Wenn ich nach Deutschland gehe, spreche ich German.
Cuando voy a México, digo el español.
When I am in America, I speak English.
When I am with the deaf, I use ASL.
Que pasa mi amigo?!
"Now I know my ABC's won't you sing along with me ...."
You really fail.
I picked a "random" U.S. school, and guess what, you really fail ... sorry.
Kindergarten English
How long did it take you to Google the translations?
And please do not refer to me as "my friend."

Obviously you have no more understanding of what constitutes a "native language" than you do regarding anything else on which you pontificate. Nor are you able to distinquish between language and phonics, from your example.
seething are we?
I took Spanish as a "foreign" language in High School for four years.
I took German at Gally.
Don't worry, I know who my "real" friends are, as well as who promulgates the agenda of the enemy![]()
So tell me, is that song sung in English?
waited several minutes for a answer ..... so I will answer it.
Yes, the song is sung in English. In Kindergarten. When one is learning the ENGLISH language.
Every single 4-5 year old U.S. Kindergartner (who can sing) sings that song. But, on an interesting side note - Kindergarten is a German word
