Well, Souggy, many Deaf people are saying just that. Deafness is not a disability. So, why should a politician be at fault for re-iteratting in what the community believes in?
 
Deaf is part of disability, in my opinion because they have trouble to find jobs and it take about over year to find job, depends on how stable is job market and communication issues.

So, comparing Spanish to ASL on the grounds of "deafness is a disability" is a dumb thing to say.

I will leave the rest of the language debate to you. My country already made English and French as de jure languages. We seems to amble along fine.

never heard of "U.S. regulated" schools. Do you mean "federally-funded" school? or state-funded school? There are private schools... and home schooling... not primarily taught in English.

Well, is English taught at Gallaudet as a foreign language? Or, are Gally students required to pass the EPT in order to attend College level courses?

I still have not misunderstood anything.

Does Gallaudet have a "Foreign Language Department"?

For Reba - interpreters in hospitals for foreign languages is common. Interpreters in U.S. Courts is also common (and required). I was not referring to the language used by foreigners needing to be interpreted, I was referring to the language used by Americans - which is English.

Courts are conducted in English. Prescriptions are written in English.

Now, anytime you purchase .... anything, it has instructions in English and Spanish.

one thing that can happen sometimes is that some people who are racist or have a lot of negative stereotypes refuse to see that in themselves, instead blaming others, often groups or individuals with less overall power/privilege than them.
 
some people think that just because someone is white, that it automatically makes them a racist.

Requiring an immigrant to learn English is NOT racist. It is the language of Americans (of all races).

It wasn't until illegals became a problem in this country when they started demanding "their" rights. Liberals helped them right along (you should review aiding and abetting laws).

Here is a valid point for you. If you decide to move to another country, learn their language.

Otherwise, shut up, illegally enter China and demand they speak english.

I never said it was a federal law, I said it was the De Facto language of the U.S.

I've heard of public schools because it's where I graduated from. all state schools. but Reba and I have never used of "US-regulated" schools.

You mean the language that was used to author the U.S. Constitution? Gettysburg Address? Bill of Rights? Preamble?

The language used for our national currency? road signs? Textbooks (other than foreign languages)?

That would be the language I am using now.

If I were to look up for country's official language.... which is officially declared by government...

the official language in France is French.
the official language in Russia is Russian.
the official language in China is Mandarin.
the official language in USA is....... ?
the official language in Hawaii is......?
