Florida Gators are going to be beaten down and won't play in a Bowl this year! LOL

I'm talking about College football by the way. just kidding around.
Ha, ha, that's OK. BTW, my dad was a Florida Gator; he graduated from the college of electrical engineering at UF.

You must have, at one point in your life, read, "The Most Dangerous Game". I have and I recall it was spine-tingling! :P
Ooooh, one of my favorites since I was a kid! :P

I went to University of Alabama for my first year in college. So yea ROLL TIDE ROLL!! LOL

I thought it´s American language "gator" into British language "crocs"... but I wasn´t realize that gator is an abbrevation word for alligator. Next time I will type "croc" if I want to talk about Thailand, Australia......
No, it's not American language. They are two different animals.

No way! pffffft

Hail Florida Gators!! :D

I love animals but I do eat them. And I prefer people hunting them for food over the LAME overpopulated slaughterhouses where animals spend most of their waking life in cages too small. If people hunt PURELY for bragging rights, and totally waste the food/fur/whatever, then that's... not cool.

Anyway, what the HECK does one's hobby have to do with politics?!

P.S. GOOOO Gators!!! (A lot of family members and friends of mine went to UF)

i think it's fair to say that.... I live in PETA-asskissing, Bambi-fan club state...

I need to move outta here.... like PA

Go west, young man! To the wide open vistas of prairies, mountains, lakes and rivers! Makes you more forward thinking, too!

But a cow can't get as big in the wild as they do in captivity. That's the whole idea behind captivity. To increase the size of a animal for mass food or rack! LOL

A Cow in the wild won't be that hard to hunt either. Cows are very slow animal. Hell, I could run up to a Cow and slash it's throat! LOL

Let's see if you will still say that when the herd does a stampede and make grounded meat out of yo rear end. :D

*TrailBoss Tousi cracking whip: "Fellers, let's git them doggies a-rollin".*

My hubby had been tasted gator meat in Thailand and said that it taste alike chicken... I refused to taste it... :cold:

Well, that gator meat taste more like " veal " than chicken. That's what my taste tells me.

Every person's taste tells them different. :P

Oh yes, the people complaint about Royal families, not just Prince Charles and fox hunters.

Well, if you mentioned that they complaint about Royal families, not just Prince Charles and fox hunters... then, tell me why I've seen some threads about Sarah Palin that some ADers complaint about killin' wolves ? Are there any thread that some ADers complaint about Royal families about killin' foxes/stags, too ? :hmm:

And, of course I don't plan to set up a new thread about Royal Families killin' the foxes and stags. :cool2:

I remember killing a white-tail deer with a crossbow and field-dressing it. Dang, nothing tastes as good as game you killed!

It's animal control. We hunt coyotes all year long here in Texas cause we are trying to control the population due to rabies.

It's just a form of animal control and nothing more.

I've cleared out some deers in a high fence ranch, and since he is trying to build a ranch of big body and rack deers we needed to kill off the small wild bucks and does.

I think we ended up killing 600 deers that day.

I shot 25 of them myself.

Oh, yea, I voted for McCain.

What we did was invited every hunter we knew to the ranch and formed a line to walk from one side of the ranch to the other side, in effect we pretty much trapped them in a corner. With about 50-60 hunters there we was able to shot alot of deers that day.

This isn't your typical sit and wait for a deer to show up, this is pretty much entrapment and shooting them all down. the majority of the meat went to shelters and homeless food programs. We had to split the load of deers between 5 processing center as not a single one could handle all of them at the same time.

It's not the first and isn't the last time this has taken place.

Oh and a High fence ranch is a ranch that has a 8-9 feet tall fence built around it and the deers are not known to jump higher then 5-6 ft. So pretty much what deer population was in that 1,000-1,500 acres (Not sure how much but it's in the thousands of acres)of ranch was trapped in the ranch.

It's a pretty dense population down there and it's not uncommon to see 20-30 deers per acres sometime.

South of Miles, TX

I believe he calls it the triple J ranch, but i just call it Ryan's Ranch! LOL

And unfortunately y'all broke the Texas law inregards to the Texas Animal Cruelty laws as stated:

However, Texas criminal cruelty laws are surprisingly narrow and only apply to any “domesticated living creature or any wild living creature previously captured.” What this means is that criminal cruelty laws protect livestock and animals that are in custody, like everyday household pets, but they do not provide any protection for animals that fall outside this narrow definition.

So this ranch that houses deer for y'all to go shooting at them in the name of "hunting", in essence allowing you and themselves to be charged with cruelty to animals as well as criminal.

Cruel treatment can be displayed in many ways, and Texas laws define cruelty to include two general types of actions, intentional actions and failure to act. Intentional cruel actions include: (1) torturing an animal; (2) transporting or confining an animal in a cruel manner; (3) killing, seriously injuring, or poisoning an animal; (4) causing an animal to fight with another; (5) using a live animal as a lure in a dog race; (6) tripping a horse; (7) injuring an animal belonging to another; or (8) seriously overworking an animal. The state of Texas also has criminal laws that specifically prohibit dog fighting

Remember this applies to people who have deer on their own ranch and as you mentioned in your above post, "this is pretty much entrapment and shooting them all down."

This link will take you to the overview of the Texas Animal cruelty Laws.

Now I don't mind hunters. It's one thing when you are sitting in a tree and waiting for a deer to show up to shoot it. That's cool.

But when you have animals fenced in an area and line up to shoot them in the name of hunting--that ain't cool. It's disgusting and you better hope that you don't get caught.

oooooh! mamma mia!!!

bad bad madison069... I'm so curious in your response to this.....

Cool, a cross bow! I have always wanted one for target shooting and maybe for protection for when the bottom falls out from under this country. I could get dinner and not draw attention to my presence.

Been looking at them in Cabela's master catalog. Boy, they have quite the price range....from 200 to over 2,000 bucks.

Been around a herd of cattles before, not really scared of a herd of running cattles.

You don't know much about hunting in high fence area do you. When you start a "Ranch" like this you have to get license and permits to do this. When you get all of the paper works set up you are given a limit of permits to kill a certain amount of deer depending on your amount of acres. As long as you follow rules and regulation you are good.

The State allows you to clear your land of unwanted animals as long as you have the permits. In this case he had enough to cover what we did that day, plus more.

You really believe 5 slaughter houses are going to process deers if it was illegally killed??

the link you posted is when you take a animal put him in a cage and then sell that animal to someone to shot him when he comes out the cage.

Nothing to do with High Fence Ranch.

If what we did is illegal then go after the biggest High fence ranch in the state of Texas. I am sure you heard of King Ranch haven't you??
