RAM: 8 gigs of Patriot
GPU: MSI NVIDIA 470GTX Twin Frozr
Not using it as of now, I don't like how hot the AMD CPU's run, so I'm going to get a better fan, and bigger case to improve the airflow.

So common for AMD for famous hot than Intel. That's why Intel is expensive than AMD.

I recommend you to get the CORSAIR for better liquid cooler.
Newegg.com - CORSAIR H80 (CWCH80) High Performance Liquid CPU Cooler

nah... I just put it in the mini fridge. Mmm.. no place to put beer in.

Smart thing would be to sawzall the side and fab a box onto it for the comp to sit inside, then reseal and insulate! Then you could have both.

Fellow Newegg shopper aye.
I was looking at this one Newegg.com - Noctua NH-D14 120mm & 140mm SSO CPU Cooler, not a big liquid person, unless it was $600 for a Pudget system aquarium (drool).

The CPU Cooler price is same as H80 liquid cooler. You just mount it on CPU and 180mm fan space with screws. I did it under few steps, less than 30 minutes. It's basically same as fan/radiator installation.

I'm not into the idea of having water around, I could use plumber's tape for extra protection, i guess. :)

Well, Your AMD Phenom series CPU had 45nm always too hot due overclock and Your MSI NVIDIA 470GTX had 48nm.

Today, new AMD FX series CPU had 32nm is lower temp improves, New Gigabyte motherboard had 2 oz copper PCB is lower temp improves AND new GPU had 28nm is lower temp, too.

I used to my AMD Phenom II 955 4x @ 3.2 had too hot all times with MasterCooler V8, old mobo had 1 oz copper PCB and HIS Radeon HD 5870 had 32nm or 40nm are OLD NEWS, anyway.

Also, your topics are worthless without pictures and no impression. thank you

New Intel 22nm will release on April 8, 2012.

My Intel Q9400 is 45nm and no problem with my 120mm fan. I don't need to OC it so much since everything run quick enough to me even gamer.

Nice Computer rig. Show us your WEI scores, thanks

WEI is useless..it reflects nothing for computer performance measuring.

run

WPrime 1024M and 32M
3DMark Vantage
Cinebench R11.5

but for shiggles, heres mine

captureip.png

also, lol, evo dragon, 4xx series Fermi was 40nm not 48. and its CoolerMaster not MasterCool.

Yup, WEI is strongly discouraged from computer experts whoever measure on computer performance.
