Yeah, they're the same thing (bionic ear and CI). But with the vast improvements to the CI in recent years, I would call it the next generation in comparison to those in the early 2000s.

I think it's a nice idea (assuming you've taking what VamPyroX said into consideration)...especially for the kids to make the HA more playful looking.

Nice find. But sometimes you have to be careful about specs found on the company's website...I mean of course they're only going to list the details where Advanced Bionics's product is better than Cochlear's. But at least AB uses real numbers here, which kind of eases the bias.

Very interesting find. I may be able to use this paper in my research to improve cochlear implants and hearing aids. I'm pretty sure the Department of Speech and Hearing Sciences at Arizona State University have already improved the cochlear implant to perform better than what is stated on that...
