Anyone know who the 10 suspended wrestlers are?
edit: Never mind, I think I found them..
Mr Kennedy, Chavo Guerrero, Gregory Helms, Randy Orton, John Morrison, Shoichi Funaki, Charlie Haas, Umaga, William Regal and Edge.
UFC fighters typically fight every 6 months or less, so it's no surprise Hamill doesn't have more fights under his belt. The record MaxUFC gave you did not include his amauteur wins (2-0) or exhibition (1-0, on TUF show).
If you want to count his amauteur and exhibition wins, he's 6-0...
I wouldn't mind seeing current UFC fighters obtain WWE-like personas and perhaps hype it up without pulling in fake crap (just like how Tito Ortiz and Ken Shamrock did it ;) )
I initially thought roid rage did it too but after reading WWE's statements, I doubt it though. Read this article
WWE: Inside WWE > News > WWE Shocked At Latest Developments In Benoit Tragedy, Concerned By Sensationalistic Reporting
It makes sense to me.. if it was roid rage, it would not...
Um, tell that to Randy Couture.
Retired, and returned at age 44 to dominate Tim Sylvia in all 5 rounds to win UFC heavyweight champinoship. Nearly KO'd Sylvia in first few seconds in the 1st round, too.
Chuck Liddell is also a longtime champ, until recently when he was beat by Rampage...
It's just $39.95 (or $49.95 if you go with HDTV option).
Hey, you probably spent more than $1,000 total on WWE PPVs.. another $39.95 isn't going to hurt you ;)
If there's only one UFC PPV I can buy in the next few months, it'd be UFC 75. UFC 75 is going to be one of best PPV in a long...
Agreed. I don't see Hamill winning this one, Bisping is on a whole another level and Hamill is going to get outpunched/outkicked.
I believe Hamill has the best chance if he is able to take Bisping down onto ground at will and ground n pound away. But then again Bisping is going to train his...
Oh one more thing -
I'm not sure they'll show Hamill fight on PPV.
They're advertising UFC 68 PPV main bouts as following:
Tim Sylvia vs Randy Couture
Matt Hughes vs Chris Lytle
Rich Franklin vs Jason MacDonald
Mike Swick vs Yushin Okami
The undercard:
Renato "Babalu" Sobral vs...
Update:
Matt Hamill's opponent has been changed to Rex Holman.
Rex Holman's MMA record is 4-1. The combined record of Rex's opponents that he defeated is 3-12.
More info can be found about Rex Holman here:
Insider: OSU National Wrestling Champion Rex Holman Signed for UFC 68 «...
Yep, I'll echo MaxUFC's assessment of The Iceman. He's one of the top ranked LHWs in the world today, right up there with Wanderlei Silva and Shogun Rua (both are in PRIDE).
Iceman's last loss was against Rampage, nearly 3 years ago. His loss vs Rampage was 1 of his 3 only losses, and also...
Matt Hamill's next fight is at UFC 68 PPV, in Columbus OHIO - against undefeated (7-0) David Heath.
I haven't seen David Heath in action before (will try to find videos of his previous MMA fights), but it looks like Hamill would have an even more tougher fight than his last one against Petruzzli.
Umm.. Couture has been retired for a long time (since last Summer at least), Shamrock is also "retired" (and I hope he stays retired), and Lidell is by no means by ANY STRETCH OF IMAGINATION "over hill".
If he was over the hill, he would have been defeated a long time ago by the likes of...
