I learned today that there is an ever increasing hostility towards the deaf by young people who complain "you got your fair shot -so shut up"...this is the younger generation that is showing this overt hatred and I am sick of their attitudes!

Big whoop, I was a professional ballet dancer with limited hearing until it went gone but I don't see any articles about people like me ( I danced for several companies in Texas, California, and Georgia) You don't need to hear music you can feel the beat and if you watch you can follow the cues...

Yes, I have that..I have terribly horribly super dry mouth and eyes. and other areas are affected, but with all things each person experiences it differently..I hope you are able to find something that helps for you.

The associate degree in nursing is considered the entry level to sit for the NCLEX, why would you want to do surgical scub technichian when an assoc nursing degree is considered more vast in its knowledge? If anything, do the scrub tech first then the assoc degree... Just saying as an OR RN...

Last friday while I was at work, I suddenly lost the last tiny bit of my already bad hearing, suddenly in both ears. I went asap to ENT docs office for hearing test, was put on high dose steoroids. went back today for re-test to see if it helped.the result- no change i am below 120 decibles in...

As far as "forcing " babies to get CI....think about it this way, Medical studies have already proved that children who undergo general anesthesia are a much higher risk for other health complications later on as they grow. Seriously, putting a baby under general anesthesia is always very risky...

Its a good thing that you are asking, never stop doing that. However, you really need to speak with the employee about what will and will not work for him. Sometimes, we got to be a bit creative when adjusting our communication.
