Well, I am totally depressed. :( I seem to be the only member whose IQ actually dropped several points. I was hoping that I would have at least a few years left before senility struck.

WTG, Codger!!! An IQ of 174 puts your intelligence at 4.93 standard deviations from the mean. Which means that only .0000004% of the general population has an IQ as high or higher than yours! Or to put it in another perspective, there are only about 120 people in the United States as smart as you are. Maybe you should be spending more time solving the Unified Field Theory and less time insulting ravensteve—I really think your talents are being wasted here. :rofl:
 
Or it means the test is FUBAR. I think that is the case. Very few facets of deductive reasioning were tested. And not much cumulative learned knowledge. I was mensa, but not 174. I only had a 3.875 my last goaround in college (Don't you hate trig too?)!

I have never intentionally insulted folks here. But if/when I do there will be no question about it! I would never hide an insult "between the lines" as I have been accused of. Generally those folks misread the lines themselves.

I appreciate the party, and understand you are just monkeying around. I'm not wasting time here with the friends I have met by any means. I.Q. is a poor measure of a person's worth at best.

I hate that so much importance is given to those tests in schools. It messed me up from the get-go by putting me in the first grade at five and graduating me at sixteen. And they wanted to boot me to college at fifteen but I talked them out of it. And I was not mature enough for college at sixteen. Remember the kid who recently overdosed on lead?

wow for an old Codger like you for your age still havent slipped away! good thing you still have your memories lol
 
Maybe if I get some time I’ll print out the test, figure out the correct answer to every question, and have my wife call out the answers to me as I check them off to maximize speed (they implied, but didn’t flat-out say, that time was a component of the score’s calculation). We’ll see what a ‘perfect’ score really is. Then I’ll do the opposite, and deliberately get every answer wrong and see what the result is. :angel:

Dont be depressed about it, It does not mean that you are not intelligent.

See what I mean? That test does not really indicate "smartness". It indicates a person adept at taking tests! Viva la dif!!
