Nope I wouldn't go to a theater without closed captioning.. There are theater that have closed captioning but limit time only. I just rather rent it and watch it at home.

its 8 bucks without matinee here and 5 bucks during matinees.... so its all good for me :) i get in free and no i dont wanna vote. however we got caption movies EVERY week at Dole Cannery in Honolulu and plan to get it for here my boss and i are working on it for here Wallace Theater's gonna sponsor it just have to talk to the poeple abt the time frame and the willing distance they can go to.

The only movie theater we go to is IMAX, especially the 3-D movies. Otherwise, we wait for the DVD or TV.

Did you see the Polar Express in 3-D?

No Bad Germs!

Wait until you can view it in the privacy of your own home/bed/livingroom, etc.

What's the HURRY? EVERYONE is in a hurry, why? We are being controlled.

I enjoy going to the movies esp when it is OC or RVC (if I can bear with them). Reason why? So I can sit back and enjoy the huge picture on the screen along with great surround sounds. Part of a theater going on. Right now I cannot afford a huge-ass screen for home entertainment so the closest thing is to see it at the theater.

No, I didn't see that one. The last IMAX movie we saw was "Robots" but it wasn't 3-D.

I don't usually go to cinemas to watch movies, most of the time I rent DVDs or buy DVDs, since they're closed caption and worth the money in my opinion. I like to watch movies with my friends/date without all those people in a theathre.

Thats it!? Its 9.25 out here after three pm. And 8.00 before. I get 20% off for being a college student...but thats still to expensive for me.

katt.

same here! ;)

yeah, I would pay $7 if family members said they wanna go....
and I don't wanna stay at home....

but I can hear with my hearing aids, but I don't understand
clearly what is going on in the movie....

just many actors mumbling in the movie...

Just like my nephew, he said I don't need closed caption because
I can hear.... and I said I can hear with my hearing aid, yeah...
but I can't understand clearly what they are saying, to speak sort of like foreign language to me.

I don't understand why people don't understand that....

If you can go to a theater for 7 to 8 bucks, then you can afford that.. you could at least save 8 bucks each time and buy you a big screen t.v...Just gotta be more patient to save your money. :dunno:

Yes, I'm with you.

I rather to watch TV with DVD comfortable at home with my family than go to movies with expense.

It doesn't matter to me I don't mind paying 7.00 a movie with my boyfriend, and no the movies doesn't have closed caption, I like to go out and do something that's why we go to the movies.

Other than that, I would rather to watch movies on DVD on my 55 inches big screen TV. ;)

When me and roomie went out to watch War of the Worlds last Sunday night, she paid 16 for the both of us to enter the movie theater.

And we didnt buy any off the concessions stand....too expensive!

I can't vote on the poll. Ravensteven, you left out a critical thing: dollar cinemas!

In Utah, there are several dollar cinemas. Sometimes I would pay two dollars to see two movies in a row. Yes, one would have to wait a while to see movies, but I don't really mind. And of course, I rarely buy anything from the concession stands! I just sneak in some candy bar or whatever in my pocket.

In Salt Lake City, we do have open captioned cinemas, but I don't always go. It depends on what the movies are... The price for admission is like 8 dollars, I think.

heh. yea right now i m building a diy projector for a future home theatre room in basement. the projector will go up to 145" screen. woo hoo. plus i will add some entertainment stuffs such as 5.1 dolby digits stuffs, nice comforty lazyboy seats and HTPC.... i cant wait to watch the movies at home.

YET yes, i still go to see the movies with RVCs at theatres occassionally.
