What kind of furniture do you have?

You like traditional, contemporary, early american, country or what?
I have country style furniture mixed with some antique furniture..i like to mix
them up..some are new and some were antique when my husband and i married and some were from my former marriage..ex hubby didnt want some of the furniture..lucky me! lol!
 
I think I like a mixture of contemporary with antiques and artworks.
I like stores such as IKEA, TEMA , EURWAY , etc... I also love different art styles such as art decos (I love those travel posters such as here . I also like having a lot of plants in my living quarters. Unfortunately, all of the plants are left back in East at my parents'. I'll be sure to bring them all back with me this June to Utah!
 
My taste is antique furniture like Victorian's time, with wood carving, heavy furnitures and some (not too much) folk art and patchwork blankets.

I like to collect reproduction art pictures, to make it looks more warm atmosphere.

I don't like modern and cheap furniture :barf:
 
i... don't have furniture. lol :) when i get my apartment this fall, i'm planning on simple furniture.. its just an apartment i mean.. *shrugs* anything comfortable that is black/red is fine with me :) (stains dont show up as much on those and they're easier to match since nowadays those colors are the colors.)
 
I don't like the modern ones that are being manfactured these days -- too expensive and tacky for my taste. ;)
I prefer the olden days' furnitures. Often get furnitures second hand as it's still good! :lol:

or are you planning on getting a couch from the trash? many college students do that i have noticed it....

before i was married and i'm roommates with 3 other college students.. we got a couch from the trash (not in trash but its next to trash) heh?

anyway... now.. i have furniture from slumberland like those styles ( i dunno what kind of style is my couch.. seems like a traditional style heh) will take picture when i get time :D

You can find a good furnitures from the garage sale or moving sale.. they will do have it alot for summer...
 
Yeah, same here i hate those cheap and modern style furniture that has veneer covering on them..ugh! Those antique furniture were built with real wood and lasts a long time too if they were properly taken care of.
 
lol.. im not getting anything from the trash! :) my grandparents own a food stand at a local auction (yes, i live in a tinnny town that still has auctions lol) and they usually sell furniture there so i'll probably get some there and refurnish it :)
 
I like antique furniture, if any style then I will grab some interesting match me. :) oh also, i like country (southwestern) style...
 
I forgot to add that my apartment right now in SLC is pretty much empty even after 5 months! I still cannot believe that it has been 5 months already. How quick the time flies! I got an old secondhand loveseat couch from Deseret Industries, and the telly is just sitting on some boxes. I still have no bed though.

I had been thinking about making my own furniture, and then when I met this person, he made his own furniture! I was gobsmacked because it all looks so good. I better get starting on making my furniture, especially my bed!
 
i have a thing for antique/victorian type furnitures and those with a southwest flair -- the modern furnitures some can be ok ok i guess *shrugs*
 
I have everything, expect couch. I only have fution which I don't like it.

I really need beautiful couch.
 
Yeah, my taste is antique furniture, also country antique too, romantic style… Our rooms are bright & friendly atmosphere like old fashioned & country look… I don´t like dark rooms because it make so miserable.

I am not type to buy very expensive furniture but I have some at years ago… I rather to change everything into antique look & expensive look…

I´m furniture restorer… I did change my old furniture into different styles… instead of throw or sell them. I trick my old furniture into different styles… like Toscona (Italian sytle), French, Marine Navy (toilet), Victorian time, Scottish Style, false them into antique look… many dried flowers…

I collect old things, pictures, photo frames from garage sale or moving sale, also from my dead Great Aunt´s old furniture at 2 years ago…I also use them as handcraft works & art color, restoration work…

We have different styles in different room… like one Toscana Style, Marine at toilet,
German kitchen, English Romantic style at bedroom, Greek style at bathroom to hall, study room – English style, dinning room – French antiques look which I restored all of the furniture to replace at every rooms.
It make interesting when you open the door to see different rooms instead same style to every rooms. It´s me…
 
The only furniture that I actually own at this moment is a desk for my computer. Everything else is owned by RIT. :(
 
I don't own furniture anymore (had some but sold them when i moved back to my parents) -- they were mostly antique/cherry...

But my personal preference is rustic/country style. But I also like simplicity, like some of the IKEA furnishing. But I think that's ideal only for apartment/condo living. Once I get my own house, I'll graduate to my personal taste. :)

Ahhh...dormitory furniture heh? well, better than nuthin lol! wait till you finish school, get a job and then get your own place and buy buy furniture! what kind of furniture you prefer?

Never heard of IKEA furniture..smallish kind of furniture for small places like apartments?

I like to keep it simple. What I would probably get is a couple computer desks since I have 3 computers (2 desktops & 1 laptop). I would also get a full-size bed, some shelves, a filing cabinet, a couple couches, one nice chairk, and a couple of my own office chairs. :thumb:
