What is your area code? game

A little off-topic since some of you are doing it...
My area codes in my lifetime were...

609... 201... 973... 06151 (Germany!)... 973... 609... and finally 856!
 
Ohh When did Rochester got new area code???? Last time I left Rochester in 1997, it was 716. Me curious

My two reason would be we want to know each other's area code and being postwhore... at least not yet but still being mini!

Rochester grew and ran out of the numbers!

Ohhh that's explained. more big cities get new area code every yeary.
 
my hometown recently change from 915 to 432. :shock:

because of too many cellur phone users' (pager, too) numbers add.

Yeah! New Jersey used to only have two area codes, 609 and 201, then they added 908. When I was in college, they added 973 and 732. South Jersey got a new area code, 856. Then there are cell phone area codes, 862 for 973 and 551 for 201. I think there is also a 848 too! So that means New Jersey got 9 new area codes in my lifetime! :dizzy:

What makes matters worse is that half of my township is in 856 and other in 609. I didn't like having to dial 1-609-###-#### to call some of my relatives that lived two or three blocks away. LOL

Oh well... in the future, each house will have an area code. :laugh2:
