I thought conservatives don't masturbate with strong marriage values. So why would they kill kittens? Oh yeah... I forgot about all the closet gay Republicans.

I'm not sure, but I think you have to take a secret oath to get the pipeline add on. That is why we have independents. They didn't want to take the secret oath.

We are very, VERY lucky not to have had a Depression instead of a Recession. In the Depression of the 1930's, instead of 10% unemployment like there is now, there was 25% unemployment. So many people did not have food that that starved to death. Some of you said you do not like Socialism but I think you do not understand what it is. The USA has several Socialist programs. They are social security, Medicare, and Medicad. You get money from all of these. Without these Socialist programs, you would get no money every month and have no health insurance. Is that what you really wish for?
Countries that have socialist health insurance for everyone (instead of just the people on Medicare and Medicaid) have much better health at lower cost. Why is that true? It is because right now, health insurance companies (like Havard Pilgrim or Blue Cross) are all trying to make as much money as possible. So are doctors. No one stops them.
The only big country in the world that does not have socialized health insurance is the USA. As a result, we spend an average of $5700 per person every year on health care. In Canada, England, France, or Germany, they spend about $3000 per person every year on health care. And their health is better! Fewer infants die in those countries. People live longer in those countries. I wish we had socialized health care like them.
Yes, people like to blame Obama, but I think they are forgetting that President Bush is the one who damaged the economy and caused the recession. Obama could not fix all the damage immediately - it always takes time. But people who are frustrated will vote against him anyway, since they cannot vote against Bush any more. Oh, well.. I guess it is Obama's bad luck to be President after Bush. :dunno:
