While I am on break from this 18 pages project for the finals, I decide to risk my purity by crossing to the dark side and read the topics and posts at other community/site (Note: I will not name the name of the community/site that I spoke of) Their comments are, at best, infactual but nonetheless interesting, or shall we say, hilarious to read. Examples of their comments: "Homosexual's fault for AIDs outbreak" or "homosexual's disease is AIDS", "prostitution is on blame for AIDS" list go on...

Ok, what causes AIDS excatly? Well, I want to share the facts that I found:

prostitution
There is no evidence of any AIDS epidemic in Thailand among female prostitutes, based on the World Health Organization's (WHO) most recent on AIDS/HIV in Thailand. 85% of all AIDS cases in Thailand are in men and 10% in heterosexual women. There is no evidence that any of these females are prostitutes.

In June 1994, 513 female prostitutes were tested for HIV. 94% were negative. These were the most promiscuous prostitutes who worked the infamous red-light districts of Patpong. Drug use is also high which might explain how 6% were HIV+ in addition to the fact HIV can be transmitted male to female (with difficulty) but its almost impossible to transfer female to a intact healthy male, assuming no other risk factors.

There is no evidence that any tourists contracted AIDS from having sex with Thai prostitutes. On the contrary, a study of AIDS in Japan, Australia and Malaysia - all countries that frequent Thai prostitutes heavily - reveals a virtual absence of HIV/AIDS. Japan has less than 1000 cumulative AIDS cases and no HIV, even among the Japanese prostitutes. The Aussies likewise have hardly any AIDS cases, yet hundreds of thousands of Aussie men have a long history of frequenting the beautiful prostitutes of the Far East.

The fact that among Americans who live in Thailand and have been having unprotected sex with literally thousands of Thai prostitutes over a minimum 3 year period, not a single one of them is HIV+.

"The fact that I publish a book on travel to the Orient, I think, would qualify me as somewhat of an authority. After all, I lived in Thailand for 3 years and I interviewed literally hundreds of tourists and prostitutes and I've yet to meet or hear of one tourist or prostitute who is HIV infected as a result of their sexual lifestyle." He also notes that with the 200,000 Americans who visit Thailand every year - and 70% are men going there for the sex industry - there would be some evidence of HIV if it was spreading to customers of prostitutes.

That's exactly what my professor told me a while ago. She yet seen any evidences that prostitutes ever cause the AIDS outbreak. Similar studies support that as well:

Since heterosexual men don't get AIDS from prostitutes, they sure won't get it from other women, nor be a threat to their female partners.

"The majority of prostitutes who have become infected with HIV in the US. have not become infected through sexual behavior. Most AIDS cases among women in the US. have occurred in women who use IV drugs...shared injection equipment rather than sexual activity has been the most significant transmission factor among female prostitutes." "Non drug using prostitutes in the U.S. play a small role in HIV transmission...80% of infected prostitutes (in the United States) reported using injection drugs" (AIDS Update 1994 - 1995, by Gerald Stine)

"Even prostitutes are not at risk for AIDS unless they also use drugs." (What Causes AIDS? It's An Open Question, by Kary B. Mullis, et. al; Mullis is the 1993 Nobel Prize winner for his invention of the PCR used to detect HIV.)

"There is no evidence that prostitutes constitute a special risk category..." (What to do about AIDS)

[Prostitutes]"...there is little direct evidence that they are a risk group ...unless a prostitute injects drugs she is unlikely to be infected with HIV...It is ironic that prostitutes have been scapegoated for AIDS. Contrary to popular belief, prostitutes are often among the best informed as to how to protect themselves...The chances of a person becoming infected are likely to increase with repeated exposure. Hence a long term infected partner is probably much riskier than a one-night stand with an infected prostitute. Although prostitutes have been blamed for the spread of AIDS, few if any cases of AIDS in men can be unequivocally linked to them." (Women and AIDS)

"Prostitutes represent virtually no risk for spreading HIV to non risk heterosexuals." (Ibid.)

"In Europe, there is as yet no evidence that female prostitutes are a source of HIV infection for the heterosexual population." (Social and Preventive Medicine)

"Despite high rates of sexual contact, HIV infection had been generally slow to spread to sex workers in Asia. For example, the latest data from South Korea, the Philippines, and Taiwan show levels of infection among commercial sex workers of below 1 percent." ("The Impact of HIV/AIDS on World Population," U.S. Department of Commerce, Bureau of the Census, May 1994, p.12)

"Evidence indicates at this time in the US., heterosexual men (as a group) engaging in sex with prostitutes (as a group) have not been contracting HIV from them. (Women, AIDS and Activism, p.181)

"From 1987 to 1992, in the Philippines, under the medical supervision of the U.S. military, over 31,710 Filipino prostitutes were tested for HIV infection. After over 10 years of sexual contact with American GI's as well as tourists from Japan, America, Germany, Australia, etc. 99.88% of the 31,710 prostitutes were found HIV-negative. There was no evidence that any of the prostitutes spread AIDS to any of the GI's nor evidence that any of the GI's spread AIDS to the prostitutes. However, there was evidence of high levels of sexually transmitted diseases, such as VD and the 'clap,' which indicated that many or most of the GI's were not using condom protection. This is powerful testimony that HIV/AIDS is not a sexually transmitted disease, except in very rare situations. Unfortunately, the media focus their attention only on these exceptions to the rule, giving the public the false impression that HIV is easily spread. Nothing could be further from the truth." (Ibid.)

"Of the 20,432 cumulative AIDS cases in Thailand, as of May 1995, 17,475 are males (85.5%) and 2,957 are female (14.5%). Of these females, 2,043 are heterosexual (the rest being IV drug users, blood donors, etc.). This means that AIDS in Thailand has little or nothing to do with prostitution. How could AIDS be caused and spread by female prostitutes when the majority (85%) of AIDS cases are not even female? Or are we now supposed to believe that prostitutes spread AIDS to their male clients, but the male clients don't spread it back to the prostitutes?" (Ibid.)

Conclusion: So why are we being told that prostitutes are at risk for AIDS ? The answer is clear. Condom companies use bogus AIDS statistics to boost condom sales and anti-prostitution organizations/religionists use AIDS scare tactics to promote their own code of sexual morality. In short, folks, we've been lied to. The chances of female-to-male transmission of HIV leading to AIDS has never been proven among healthy, non drug abusing heterosexuals with no other risk factors.

Male to male sex (MSM) is the major risk behavior for Hawaii’s AIDS epidemic. As of 1999, 77% (1,798/2,345) of AIDS cases are MSM, and followed by both Injection Drug Use (IDU) and MSM/IDU. Figure 7 shows the percentages for MSM and MSM/IDU are decreasing in recent period; at the same time the percentages of other risk behaviors are increasing. As the graph of heterosexual AIDS cases shows the number of AIDS through heterosexual risk has increased since 1990. More than half of the female cases (53%, 77/145) are infected by heterosexual contact.

There are plenty studies & evidences that support my point about homosexual and heterosexual. I don't know if you want to read some more... I believe you know much about it right? Homosexuality does not cause the AIDS, that sums up pretty much.

So what next? Both popular excuses (homosexual and prostitution) is clearly dismissed. Needles? Probably. Oral sex? Of course not. What really causes AIDS? Please share your thoughts, opinions or facts if you want to.

I want to share about my friend... My friend is dating a girl who have Syphilis, at that time, both of them don't know about her condition. They had sex together on daily basis for maybe one year. They somehow found out that his date is infected with Syphilis. Naturally, my friend got panicked about it and went to see his doctor. Syphilis, by all means, cannot be cured without antibiotic, it is common knowledge. Anyway, once had several tests, to his surprise that he didn't get it from his date. Even though he haven't wear condoms or practice any form of safe sex... His doctor was baffled by that as well. My friend shared with me and I found out why that he isn't infected by his date but I dunno if people around here are ready for this information so I withhold it this time. The point of this real story, if he didn't get it thru sex activities then it must be something else.

What I learned from different studies, I suspect that immune-suppression or low immune system is the fault in these STD issues. That's my opinion based numbers and numbers of studies.

Why has more than ten years of AIDS research costing tens of billions of dollars failed to show how or even if HIV causes AIDS or attacks the immune system?


They do research on questions like Have you took drugs such as needles? or are u gay? or How many people you slept with? I know a person who slept with over 200 people has never yet have HIV or AIDS for all that matters. It seems like nobody really knows the answer what cause HIV or AIDS because everyone fail to show what the cause.

Glad that I have a chance to see your post (thanks to email notification), what do you mean by that? I posted the link and the sources. Or.. are you telling me that you don't want me to past the facts, afraid that people will find out the truth about AIDS?

Anyway there, I fixed the link about prostitutes. I am so glad that I used email notification, it is quite useful. Yeah, that's what I am wondering about. It is pretty obvious that it is not sex-related. It is something else. I start to suspect that was propaganda by some governmenets but why?

Easy answer: BLOOD

Any exchange of BLOOD poses very high risk for HIV transmissions.

Some sexual activities can get bloody such as anal sex, intercourse in a very dry vagina or causing little tears in canals, etc.

Semen, vaginal fluids, and saliva carries very little of HIV. In order to get HIV from salvia by itself, it will be like having to drink over 1000 cups of salvia to get it.


Thus, drug needles and blood transfusions carry the highest risks compared to regular sex activities.

Good question, I kept wondering what AIDS really come from and how it started, since there's not enough studies & evidences shows how and why some people had AIDS in the first place before they're able to passed it along to someone else by having unprotective sex, used needle, blood transfers, etc...

The bottom line, no one can really tell us by the fact how AIDS started in the first place, as far as I know, I haven't heard yet on how and why....Unless you can come up with a fact that links to how it started in the first place...

However, I heard it started in Africa where people end up with AIDS or HIV, could it be something down there like a virus or something that had started to spread to cause this person to have AIDS?... :dunno:

Yeah I'm aware of that Meg but how did AIDS get in the person's blood in the first place if that person never did anything to cause this person to get AIDS?...
 
I have heard that before many, many times about people saying, the only way to prevent infection by the virus is to avoid behaviors that place a person at risk for infection, such as sharing needles and having unprotected sex. Remember that story about a young girl who never had sex or shared a needle or did drugs she was infected with HIV, But. She got it from her dentist who was not wearing gloves. She didn't know he was infected with AIDS, And she had to pay a big price that is her life. I mean nobody is safe from getting AIDS no matter what they say.

I saw the movie on Lifetime channel. "Syphilis which the teenagers had the sexuallity various parnters. They had oral sex which can cause syphilis.

I saw the news few days ago, AIDS people have it 48 million on this planet. Can you imagine it? It is too overwhelmed for the medical society to cure those AIDS people. 20 years later, half of this planet will have AIDS if they do not follow careful with the safety sex instruction.

India is higher right now due to poor medical provider. Africa is still struggle to reduce AIDS My sister went to Africa three times row to help thousand africian children. It was horrible sad.

Is not it scare ?? :(

I want to see your boss can legaly fire you if he finds out your married the spouce is the same sex as you are. Plus when you fill out your job application if youre married you write your spouces name and his or her sex. This is to protect other workers from gettong AIDS. My boss fired a woman who found out shes a lesbian 3 years ago.

No, I disagree. 'Homosexual causes AIDS' is myth. The researches already proved that. AIDS rates in heterosexual is much higher than homosexuals. Thus 'Homosexual causes AIDS' is false. Read the facts that I posted in my first post.

I can post many different facts & studies that easily dismiss your comment... that if you want me to.

That is exactly what I am talking about people like you for example, When you see gay couple or lesbian couples you going to think "AIDS" ? And your Boss is a plain jerk to fired a worker just because she is lesbian? What a world we are living in when people are so judgement. :(

Sadly that is common in America but I have good news for you. At huge corporation where I am working at, they fired 8 people for discriminating against homosexuals few weeks ago. They also 'blacklisted' their names, in other words, they will have hard time to find a job. After that, the boss of mine made an announcement in the note (based on my memory): "I will leave no mercy for who discriminates against my employes. If anyone wants to make a remark about races, genders, religions, sex preferences and status then come over and see me in my office and I can fire you on that spot to save my time." The result: atmosphere in our workplace is much more happier and energized.

Well a penis is not for sticking it in a mans asshole. A penis is for taking a piss and inserting it in a womans vagina. My preist made this comment in his sermon. Homosexualty is a terrable disease. But Aids is gods punishment for this immorial sin. The wages of sin is death. In this case homosexualty is a wager too much. And he`s right.

Do you know that Adultery is more sin than homosexuality? Maybe that's why heterosexual recieved AIDS from God as punishment.

If you actually believe in God, do you know that God do not allow you or your ignorant priest to judge on others? Your priest is just another hypocritical priest, nothing more.
 
Magatsu, You must not be catholic then. You know nothing about catholic people or what they belive in. We belive in moral and family values. So therefor homosexailty is a deadly grave sin than adultery.
