Time to put your thinking caps.Supposed everyone here went on a cruise ship and a terrable storm put our ship on an tropical island. What would you do to get rescued? And this is our island.

I must warn you they are plenty of wild animals on our island so be careful. But help us get the hell off here!

Set up the bonfire and wait til the boat or plane to come by. Chances are slim.

Try to built a raft!! If know how. LOL

 Your thread remind me of movie "Cast Away".

Set the bonfire to get wild animals away and get plane/boat attention...

Add dry leaves and stones to scream "H E L P" on the strand...

Cast away was a good movie. But it only had one man all by himself. If i made a movie like that 4 men would reach the island and try to surivive. But it would become an adventure movie as well.Cause the island would be a past history on it.The guys would find a tresure map from the pirates era in 1700s but they found the site alright but no tresure cause someone had already found it before they did. They would also find WWII items like guns and grenades. It was an ammunition supply from the japanese army from WWII but now that can protect themselves from wild animals and plus they found flares so of a ship or a plane came by they have a chance of being rescued. And the ammunition supply was in a cave now they can shelter themselves. But they stayed on the island for 6 years before they spoted an military ship came by.Thank god it was the american navy that spotted them. But they learned more about the island it was a japanese military base and the navy seized more than 4 tons of ammo and japanese uniforms they looked so funny in cause used them as clothing.

Is the communications equipment still functioning? If it is, just call for help. If the ship is still afloat and safe, just stay on the ship until help arrives.

If the ship was in danger of sinking during the storm, then all the survivors would have escaped using life boats. Most life boats for large ships have emergency communications equipment and beacons that send out emergency signals.

Unless your "cruise ship" is the S.S. Minnow. :D

Ever seen Survivors show?? I am sure 4 people strand in this island will live for a while till rescuers can find you...

First of all, I would check all the people making sure exactly how many people were seriousily injured or not.

I would start looking for twigs and wood. So that we could build a fire.
Start pulling down huge branches with leaves, and try to set up a shelter of
some sort.

I would probably ring out my clothes, because I don't want them wet as night falls. It gets cooler.

Start making a spere, to hunt fish with.
Or a net of some sort with vines and what not.

I mean castaway HAD some stuff. so give us a break here LOL.

You dont? :eek2: Why not? :dunno: Its boring on an island,Nothing to do cant go anywhere.

Make lots of babies!!!!!! :giggle: Stay away from civilizations.. not worry about money, bills.. nothing! besides the wild animals, it can be worked on and just be alert what's around you.

I'd make a bonfire, a little raft, and a little wooden/leaves home to live in.

See? RG has the right idea. :thumb: I just have one question—how many people were on the ship? Is EVERY member of AllDeaf on the ship, or just the resident vocal minority?

OK—let’s say that it’s only active members of AllDeaf. We’ll say only members who have 100 or more posts, and who have posted at least once within the past 3 months. How many people is that? Three or four hundred, maybe? Then there’s the crew. Cruise ships usually have about as many employees as they do passengers (which is why cruises are so damned expensive). So that means 400 AllDeaf members, and 400 crew members. So 800 people, half of them hearing, and half of them deaf. What now? The ship is intact, so we can all sleep in individual cabins. It’s just grounded on a sandbar 100 feet offshore. Unfortunately, the radio equipment has been destroyed by a mischievous chimpanzee. The chimp has figured out a way to make an unlimited supply of alcohol though, so it’s party time. What do we do? I, for one, see paradise. Within a few years, everybody will know ASL, and the island will be overrun with babies, about one-fourth of them deaf. Martha’s Vineyard II, anyone?

 you know.. you are right.. everybody will know ASL, I for one, may do better in ASL when I'm stuck on an island... Martha's Vineyard II? hmm.. perhaps.

Ok answer your question about 100-150 people went on this cruise and were all on that island. :ugh2:

OK—so 150 AllDeaf members, and say 100 crew members. I still want to stay and build a new society. Gotta be real careful about keeping birth records, though—don’t want any inbreeding occurring 16 or 17 years down the line. :nono:
