Sen. Clinton Collapses During Appearance

9 minutes ago U.S. National - AP

BUFFALO, N.Y. - Hillary Rodham Clinton (news - web sites) collapses during a public appearance in Buffalo.

WELL I GUESS SHE WON'T RUN FOR PRESIDENT IN 2008, BUT I WILL PRAY FOR HER.

It was a staged publicity stunt, performance art, to dramatize the collapsing of the American health care system.

Yeah, she will run in 2008. I mean, Bush got drunk, passed out, and the corporate media blamed it on a pretzel...and he is still here.
Rats.

Vampy, here's full story (I highlighted the comment why she collapsed):

BUFFALO, N.Y. - Democratic Sen. Hillary Clinton collapsed Monday during a speech but aides said the former first lady quickly recovered from what they described as a fainting spell triggered by a 24-hour flu and continued on to a second public engagement.

"She's fine," aides to the junior senator from New York told NBC News.

An aide to the 57-year-old Clinton, who spoke with The Associated Press on condition of anonymity, said the senator had been suffering from a flu bug but pressed ahead with an appearance at the private Saturn Club before a group of women voters.

She was speaking about Social Security in a warm room in front of 150 people when she briefly lost consciousness, according to the aide.

‘She fainted’
"She was weak and needed to sit down. She fainted," the aide said.

Colleen DiPirro, president of the Amherst Chamber of Commerce, told MSNBC TV that Clinton told the audience she was feeling weak from either flu or food poisoning, but began her speech nonetheless.

After "struggling" through part of an address on Social Security, Clinton said she couldn't go on, DiPirro said.

"She stood up and about 30 seconds later collapsed," she said.

This is a stupid comment.

Viruses cause the flu. God, or whomever one chooses to call their Higher Power, doesn't "cause" someone to get the flu.

Now, I believe in Karma. I believe in what comes around, goes around. When that happens, you better take heed and learn whatever lesson you're supposed to learn. Otherwise, your life isn't gonna be much fun for awhile.

Hell no ..I aint going to respect Bush. You cannot force respect out of me. He has to "EARN" my respect.

Democracy means we have a right to respect or not respect. Dictatorship means total submission/respect regardless of how one feels/thinks.

So, if karma is a made up thing and is a major part of the buddhist religion, does that mean that your religion is made up too?

Well, I agree with you, sort of. I believe each person has a right to disagree with whomever they wish, but I also think that one SHOULD respect the OFFICE OF PRESIDENCY REGARDLESS of who is the current sitting president.

This is my main gripe against Bill Clinton when he was the President. It totally disgusted me to learn he was carrying on a sexual liason IN THE OVAL OFFICE. It was wrong to cheat on his wife. That was his first mistake, but to then, disgrace the Presidency and commit acts in the oval office was something else altogether. Politics aside, I have absolutely NO respect for him at all.

Nobody is gotta tell me who I should respect either, I agree with Meg. I have no respect for Bush at all either. :)

I have to agree with Oceanbreeze on this one. How come when democrats are in charge and in power telling you cant call the president a liar! Show some respect hes our president. But when the republicans are in charge democrats change their tune call mr bush a liar. Like Hillary said "QUOTE" How dare you call my husband a liar? Show some respect hes our president. And when hillary as a senator calls mr bush a liar. Thats flip flopping. That sounds like another john kerry candidate to me.

So you're being hypocritical -- you don't respect the Clinton administration because of a sexual issue. What about the Nixon administration? Should I have respected them, even though Nixon did illegal things that led to the Watergate scandal?

The Bush administration has not earned my respect. When they do, I will respect them. No presidential administration has earned my respect, even the majority of Congress during history has yet to earn my respect. That should tell you a lot.

Hey, ravensteve -- Nixon lied while in office. Do you respect him just because he's a Republican?
