whoo roadtrips! nothing more than roadtrip makes me happy. I've went on soo many, countless. in all four seasons. and went from coast to coast five times in two years recently, never get tired of driving! my
salvation.. anyway, to answer your questions.
What's your favorite thing to do during a road trip?
-- thinking! thinkings, I'm very much a thinker so thinkings and of course, analyzing scenery, visit new places, hidden roads, alleys, bridges, caves, waterfalls, etc .. amazing spots such as glass muesum, tank full of fishes inside a real (dumped) bus, a house made out of only newspapers, etc.
Would you much rather ride the highways or the scenic back roads?
-- both. highways if you want a faster way, and greet a hello or flick a booger to all drivers.

backroads if you'd like to get lost and explore a little more. caves, coves, rocky mountains, wildlife trails, piers and hidden point vistas are fun to find!
Does anyone have any tips for a female road tripping by herself on safety, etc?
-- ah, that's difficult one. all of, well, except for one roadtrips I've went alone (unless you consider with 10+ pets isn't) and never had a problem. not a boo-hoo single! and I'd say - being deaf and female and young - everyone freaks out!

come on, chill. like liza did, check! check, check and check! from a city to city and from state to state, no difference really. few things to know though.. always look under your car at all gas stations. never stand by car doing something for more than a minute. do not stop and get out of car if you see a note sticking on back of your rear-window. change lanes thousand times in few minutes to ensure that 'suspicious' vechile is not following you, especially at nighttime. bring a rottweiler... just kidding. if you happen to be alone out there, need help with anything (i.e. shove out snow, getting more gas or making a phone call for you, etc.), please look for female drivers or male drivers with children. never, ever stop until you're sure you got (MARKED) police car's number and memorize it. and yes, bring pepperspray and a whistle in handy! oh and for snowy roadtrip, always -always- have a traveling shovel and flares with you. find tree barks/twigs, pack inside you to keep yourself warm if freezing. unless you'd like to purchase and bring an electricity blanket.. ahh, so much more. let me know if you want to hear more lol.
Where would you suggest a road trip to? If you were to go on a road trip, where would you go to? and why?
-- ohh. phew.. let me get back to you at that later soon ok? (beddy time for me soon!)
Do you play games to pass the time in the car or do you just sit there and ask questions like: Are we there yet?
-- plenty! first, are you looking for games with/for kids or yourself, with your peer friends?
last thing before I go for now, I know you said to keep gas discussion out of this but I want to say I love my little gem! gas is never a problem or an issue for me. at one-time two-week roadtrip (from new york to california visiting zillion of friends), it only costed me $200.
($201 to be exact).
pssst - garnetmom, don't be silly! you always can spilt gas with a friend...friends. care if I (and a few of pets - I has to!) join?? (don't miss out a lot). and that question goes the same for you deafbaja.
alright, off to bed now ... sorry this is so long! hopefully I helped some.
*vroom vroom* ciaociao!
