Question: Electric Shaver or Razor?

What is a better shaving tool, the electric shave or razors? I went to a store a couple days ago, and the price of one electric shaver that also cleaned itself was $200. Does it really differ, does one do a better job than another? Which do you use, and what gives you a better shave, the razor or the electric shaver?
 
I would pick razor because its more cheaper than electric. Of course I like electric, but sometime batteries run out and how am I suppose to shave? then I pick razor, it is not going to hurt me.
 
Electric VS Razor

I'm not sure I can help, but I have both. Picked up a Norelco electric shaver last year and have only blade shaved a couple of times since. Wally World has some basic electric for $50. Someone at work told me he replaced blades once a year; mine still works fine. Easy to clean too. I recharge mine overnight once a week - no batteries.

I'm half Japanese so it takes me three days to get a five o'clock shadow. My trailer doesn't have central air and my bathroom is a furnace when I finish a shower. It takes ten seconds for lather to melt and collect in my belly button. I'm not shaving down there so I prefer using electric - easier for me and not as much mess.

I have a Norelco electric shaver and a MachIII razor. If you want your skin smooth as a baby's butt you need a razor. Electic gets pretty close but not like a razor. I have to shave every day. Don't blow 200.00 on one get a cheaper one mine charges in 1 hour and lasts 4 shaves ofc I shave my head so It runs out faster. I'll give you my model number if you want.
 
Hubby uses a razor for daily shaving. He uses his electric shaver for "touch ups" if we are going out in the evening. The razor gives a much closer shave.

Hot waxing is the best non-permanent way to remove unwanted hair. It pulls the hair out by the roots, lasts longer, and grows back softer than shaved hair.
 
im using Venus Razor but when i was in deaf school i using electric shaving but im not using with that!

and my step-father using electric shave and razor also both! they pass to my brother to use when my step-father's deceased in 2000

True, that's what my hubby say the same. We don't have electricity shaver here in our household. My hubby last tried his Dad's electricity shaver at 30 years ago and don't like it.

Backerman, I actually using electric shaver that called NORELCO "COOL SKIN" for worth 100 dollars that My fiancee purchased.. I admired it! And I have no problem with it a year! :)
 
Depends. If I'm on the run, and only needed a quick shave, electric. But whenever I take a shower, its razor. The electric cannot cut as close as the razor, and the razor leaves me skin alot smoother.

You mean the waxing? The first time hurts because all the hairs are present, and the skin is not used to it. But each subsequent time is easier because fewer hairs are present. Also, need to use a soothing lotion after.

My Hubby has not used the facial waxing yet but I know other people who have. They love it. It is great for eyebrows (especially guys' uni-brows), too.
 
I lather up my face, neck, and head in the shower and use a Venus Divine razor, a women's version of the Mach3. The broader shaving head is easier to glide along my scalp, than my Mach3.

After my shower, I clean up around my goatee with my original Mach3 at the mirror. Every 2-3 weeks, I trim my goatee with a full-size electric trimming shears. I've worn out the mini beard trimmers before.

I've tried electric shavers in the past on my face, but it's my neck that can't take it! Feels like that old Epilady hair-yanker, anyone remember that? I knew a gal who tried one. Ouch!

Ehhh, with the Epilady, it's like trying to bake bread with a toaster oven. :P
 
Razor. Electric shaves don't cut the hair at all but it was trimmed. Razor shaves off all of hair! My legs feel so smooth! Well, I use sensitive skin shaving cream and "Venus" shaving razors because I have sensitive skin. Hey, have you hear about electroysis? I have ingrown hair problem, it was like, razor bumps. Shaving and waxing doesn't help at all but the electroysis can help to get rid of ingrown hair problems. Sometimes I have some hair stuck inside the skin really deep. The lady use the electric pen with needle to burn the ingrown hair and trying not to get same problem again. My legs seem a little better than last year. Yeah, of course, it's hurt likes burn. :dance: I have been going there for 2 years. But I'm not completely happy with my legs because I have veins and my "first" spider vein. :laugh2:
 
I use an electric razor, its quicker, but isnt as good as the real thing...

I know its :topic: but what about using Nair or other things like it on your face? Has anyone tried it? I know Nair stinks really bad though. Also, women can get leg hair lasered permenately, can guys get their face lasered??
 
Hmm... I never heard of lasered for ingrown hair problems but I will ask the lady who is my electroysist ( can't spell ). Well, I heard the veins could be remove by laser surgery but I don't know pretty much about it.

Electrolysis is great because it is permanent but isn't it very expensive?
