Sablescort - I am just wondering if this building is still there since then?

That building has been since torn down for over 40 years since the New York's World Fair ended in Fall 1965. U can visit http://www.nywf64.com to see other pavilions with funky designs like the GM building. Sometimes I wish I was born in the 1950's instead of the 1970's so I could have enjoyed the NYWF in 1964, but alas, it's wishful thinking on my part. Since my visit to the 1982 Knoxville's World Fair, I got hooked on World's Fairs of the past......so hence my desktop :)

I sort of like to go back in the old days because nowadays most buildings are ugly and a lot of trash everywhere in the cities. I blame McDonalds, BurgerKing, fast food restaurants that caused pollution. When I was in Russia, there were some nice places until I saw a McDonald and was very surprised that there were some trash on the ground around the corner. I finally realized that our country restaurant/food companies are really pig. It has nothing to do being an old fashion. It is probably less negative in the old days. My guess that most people would rather to have a simple life...

Here's my current desktop - wish I'm in there swimming naked all by myself

Last week I trashed my NYWF64 GM Pavilion wallpaper and replaced it with the new one for the 2K5 version of 1976's "Bad News Bears" movie.

Wow! I noticed a player in the power wheelchair can do play a softball game. hehe!

The "Bad News Bears" movie desktop Sablescort has reminded me of when I watched it years ago in the 1970s as a kid. :) Ahh, brings back memory lane. :)

Anyway, here's mine. :) I added the text to it to make it look like Snoopy is typing. :)

I'm currently using a picture of Stargate SG-1 for my wallpaper. I don't have a picture at the moment though. :(

Here is mine, I had to resize it and bump up the compression to get it uploaded.

We were at the river last week and I used my digital cam to take a pix of my daughter's handprint on the sand.. Enjoy! :scatter:

wow, it's not bad idea. I will get my children to press their hands on the damp sand when we visit seaside this summer.

I think its neat too.. when I stare at the screen long enough.. the handprint itself becomes a 3D.. jaci's hand is inside.. when I stare at it.. it pops out.. you ought to try footprint too!
