Have you ever had your parents or anyone embarass you relating to your deafness? I'm not talking about being rude directly to you, but involving you with your deafness in a way. Here's an example of what my dad did to me.
I was at the mall and my dad saw this deaf couple walking by. He quickly walked up to them and dragged me along with him. He got their attention and started signing horribly telling them, "Hey, did you know that I have a deaf son? *pointing at me*" Jeez! Mind your own business! Sometimes, I'll have deaf people come to me saying, "Oh yeah, I think I saw your dad. He was telling every deaf people he meets that he has a deaf son." Boy, was I ever embarassed!? :Oops:
That's like saying, "Hey, did you know that my son's retarded!?"

Ofc she said "oh well I thought it would be okay because it is interesting and I know your culture is different than hearing culture..." "No Mrs Marrs, its still not okay to do that."
A similar scenario happened to me in my AP Psychology in my high school. and in my tenth grade English class. I cannot believe those teachers think it is "good" for us that we are exposing them a different culture when it is actually NOT good for ME, the totally hermit.

(My baby sister and I are the only deaf people in the entire family of both sides!
)

now he never do that again yayay
