my iphone 4 is robbed!

Since you got your iphone5... consider that you learn lesson and make sure you secure your phone next time. I'd suggest you to move on, it's not worth your time to pursue the guy who stole it.

Just be glad you are safe... there are some cases that people get shot over the iphone, or other smartphones. Just let it go and your life is more important than your phone.

Just remember... phones is replaceable, life is not. :)

Sara, you do not have legal power to do so, judge has the power not you. You can fight but you are killing yourself that way. Just like what Calvin said, move on.

You don't realize that I was victim of stolen car, my car was stolen, mind you that car worth much much much more than your cute Iphone! What the F.... can I do? I was without transportation for several days and have kid to take care of and it was not easy! At least I got it back but with damages, and I HAD to pay 500 dollars deductible for these damages plus towing fees and so on. I am not going to lose my sleep over that scumbag because I KNOW Karma is going to take care of these thieves.

So be smart, don't take law on your hand or your gonna hurt yourself even more. I know you are very heavy and it is very hard on your heart, and your anger put more weight on your heart and can do more damage than you realize, it is slow killing if you continue to have this deep resentment.

Yep, some culprits are never caught much less prosecuted.

Someone broke into our house years ago and stole only a few things but they had sentimental meaning to me (the sterling silver baby rattle, fork and spoon that I was given by relatives for my birth, and a watch that belonged to my mother). I'm sure they were melted down for the silver.

TCS had his new (only a few months old) motorcycle stolen years ago. They never caught the guy. They did find the motorcycle wrecked a few years later. The FBI asked if he wanted it back. No! Insurance had already paid for it, so he didn't want the pieces.

The police aren't going to throw a cell phone thief in jail without bond, especially if it's a minor.
 
I guess Boy can dismantle her iPhone and selling parts to eBay website. He's making money for buying drugs.

Yea, this is one of few reasons why the idea of "shell locking" feature add on phone (Locks after reported stolen) is useless. It only add cost of every phones.

There is a reason that I phone is stolen and not cheap Android phones. I am sure the boy who stole that iphone knew that it would be locked and worthless. Even kids are taking apart phones and selling parts. Not that hard to take apart parts. Pretty much anyone with right tools can do it.

Go with what Jiro mentioned to you earlier. Europe mainly uses GSM networks, so CDMA technology (Verizon/Sprint-type carriers) rarely exists. LTE cell technology just barely started.

I'm not sure about Ireland. Generally in Europe, the GSM (SIM Card carriers) is very good, much better than it is in USA. In fact, the 3G cellular network between UK-France-Germany areas is so fast/smooth/cheap that most people there don't see a reason to update to LTE. I think for standard 3G it's around $30-40 euros a month whereas we pay nearly double the price, for slower speeds too. I think they don't have roaming charges in general either.

Some major carrier names over there are O2 and Vodafone. They are popular in UK, might cover up to Ireland too I'd think.

The iPhone 4S was made to be a dual GSM/CDMA model phone, a world phone.
GSM carriers require SIM cards. You can buy sim card from any carriers in Ireland. The SIM card in a Verizon iPhone 4S is only active when connecting to GSM networks.

andriod phones arent cheap, not the best ones AND it KILLS iPhones too for performance...

Sara...you misunderstood...I did not insult you...what I meant was....that the boy must be a fast runner....because if you would have gotton your hands on him, I bet you would have done him some damage.... :giggle:...You are a big girl and most people would not try to steal from you....because they know you could beat them up!....and I don't blame you....

So sorry about ur phone....it happens everyday to other people too....Be on your guard next time!....If you see some kid looking at your phone...show him your fist!....I bet he would run away.....
