Of Course, Windows always crashed because of many things like download, bad software, hackers, virus, etc. LINUX does not crash.

Xbox 360 freezed because it needs to update firmware, and software. Some games caused xbox freeze that game was not 100% complete update. It will happens on ALL next-generation consoles. That's what I am worry about. Same for Microsoft. Wii looked very impressive and won E3 award for best convention show.

$599.99 PS3 would have Linux pre-install.

Yeah, few days ago or recently I read somewhere on internet, MS said, they won't adjust price.. they want xbox 360 selling for 399 to 299 bucks, because they are so vaule price..

My xbox 360 is almost get overheat because I just leave for 5 hrs until my friend warned me about issue with xbox 360 :eek:

the cheap heatpipe inside XBOX 360 SELLING FOR $400 which is nonsense to me.. if liquid cooling system is inside xbox 360 which is high cost us like 400 bucks which is more make sense to me .. heatpipe is cheap price.. like 45 to 130 bucks. liquid cooling is more cost than heatpipe did you know that?

I haven't hear it but for my expierence that PS2 have medium-sized vent to prevent overheat, and thin PS2 has small vent to air out. Just same as computer, I just leave computer on without shut down for about 6 month, and reset sometime when it's crashed. Xbox 360 need have fans or vent built-in to prevent overheat.

I don't know what's inside the XBox, but...I know what's inside the PS2. The PS2 has a huge heat sink strapped to the logic board. It also has a cooling fan that is mounted in the back of the PS2 to have better ventilation to keep it cooler as heat dissappates from the processor/GPU. It makes more sense to have a BIGGER heat sink with better ventliation if the cpu/GPU runs hotter or worse case liquid cooling might be needed. That's why the Xbox 360 is sort of large. More cooling needs more space to fit in a case, basically.

I googled for Xbox 360.

Note there's no intake fan in front side and not much space for air to flow. Only two venting fans in rear side. And DVD drive sat on heatsink. It cause more heat issues if DVD is run and generating heat.
Gamecube had a vent hole on each side and only fan mounted for venting heat out.
And my computer had four fans, two for intake, rest venting heat out. I changed rear fan to powerful fan for strong heat venting. I use oversized fan and bulky heatsink for Athlon XP 3000+. I always shut down my computer every night before going to bed. I will buy new liquid cooling system when it's time for new upgrades.

Yes, there's is liquid cooling system existed for Xbox 360s but not enough to met strong demands.

Hmm that makes sense since my discs usually get warm after I played 'em for awhile. But ever since I got the intercooler and put it in the vertical stand, my discs weren't warm at all! just as cool as the gamecube discs when you play them for awhile too. I'm actually relieved that Nyko has solved the problem for Mircosoft thou I wish they knew that overheat can cause such problems.

About time for me exchanged old to new console!

today, I recently went best buy store, They saw me carry box and replacemnt plan with my arm before I did not ask them for exchange. they know what i wanted for exchange.. they just bring new box to me and i gave old box to them. I left with new box... wow thats so nice... I got intercooler for free haha nooo just kidding ! ha I actually bought intercooler..

see that from above of picture.. I prove you that best buy just exchanged it meantime I show them my replacment plan of waranty for 2 years..

the new one don't have fans and tend to over heat, and yes, don't put stuff on your console, in fact, that place doesn't seem to be a efficent place to put a console on, consoles are like computers, you need to give it space away from other objects, I put mine in a sony tv shelf under where the dvd goes.
