Living with Parents

Its Not off Topic....Thats the reason why so many children gone back to live with their parents.Back in the 50s and 60s things wasnt so expensive like they are now.For example back in the 50s and 60s Gas is gas,,Nowadays Gas is an luxery item.Back in the 50s and 60s Houses were houses. Now its an luxery item.Back in the 50s and 60s Cars were cars. Now its an luxery item.Thays the reason todays young people cant afford a house. And get this,,, Back in the 50s and 60s if you apply for a loan chances are the banks would approve your loan. Nowadays if you dont quilfy or youre not economicly viable you dont get the loan. That is the reason why children are living back with their parents.

Look at Housing prices WAY TOO EXPENSIVE!!! And When you buy a house you pay HUGE PROPERTY TAXES on it.Thanks for fools who voted for the democratic party clowns in local governments.

:topic: :fart:

i am living with my mom FOR THE FIRST TIME IN 15 FRIGGIN' YEARS! for two reasons to get back on my feet due to finances cuz i couldn't find a job right after graduation from rit two years ago... (i had my own place for 15 yrs sheesh) hopefully ill be out of here next year the latest.. and also my mom was going through a difficult time after the passing of my grandmother... so my presence helped a great deal... she is doing much better now...

now we can't stand each other  we need our own privacy/space!!! arrrgh!!! but it is ok... cuz i know she won't be around forever so i am trying to appreciate every moment i have with her like walking with her every morning, etc...

I think it's smart strategy to live with parents until those debts get paid off or being able to afford a good place... :thumb:

It's good that parents are so understanding. I heard about an amazing story of parents who made their adult kid pay up rent for boarding at their house.... until the day she was ready to move out, the parents awarded her with an incredible amount of sum... the total she had been paying the parents in rent for years. *goosebumps* Would have loved to see the look on the kid's face....

Dang! But then again, you will not know unless you decide to move out. :naughty: It was a surprise for the kid, too.

It's nice that you're also being there for your mom... it really sucks about the finances eh?! I don't know which is better... paying off a fat mortgage or staying with the in laws. :whip:

Is it reason because you live with your parents?

I hope you don't mind me to ask you question out of curiously.
Did you pay housekeeping money to your parents?

Yes, my PIL (parent-in-law) surprised my hubby with sums where he paid them for housekeeping every month for years. We bought a kitchen unit, oven and glass plated with money where we first rent one bedroom apartment. We would do same with our children. I love to see my children's surprised faces.

RS you are going way off topics. Why dont you tell us why you are living with you lovable mom??

I used to lived with my mom for about 2 1/2 months back in 1999 cuz at that time I was seperated from my exh and I had no place to live so living with my mom til my exh and I got back together and found a place to live.

I see nothing wrong in living with your parents. I do, and it helps a lot especially when I'm studying. It's very common to see kids in their 30s and so living with their parents after they saw how costly it's to live on their own these days. The property, not to mention mortgage isn't always a affordable option for many.

Oh I forgot to mention one thing. My uncle who passed away at 56 yrs old and he was living with his mom til he passed away. So he was born in that house til his death. :D So there is nothing wrong with that and not only that if need repair around the house so he does that. But this whole reason for that is he own 3 houses in case if my grandma passed away. But the worse part was his newly wed wife who are so greedy and make them to change the will so she ended up owning the 3 houses after my uncle passed away. My mom and aunt fight to become the owner of the houses that they lives in and greedy wife gave up.

I'm not sure if I remember correctly he said, he got either laid off or fired from the job because he lost his hearing. :dunno:

But don't forget, incomes were much lower back then. Back in the 50s and 60s, people put a higher percentage of their income into savings so they could afford a larger down payment on their houses. Also, people didn't have such high expectations for their first houses. They were willing to start with small, simple houses. Now, even young people expect their first houses to have all the features of a luxury house. Some young people now don't want to buy their own houses because their parents' houses are much nicer than what they could afford themselves.

I do agree with you, DD I used live with my parents till 30's. I went go up and down emotional and now learning to deal with myself. Now, I am happy to have DD to move in with me so we can go ahead with those deals. :)

Hey Everyones,

Ravestone isn't way off the topic.. I read carefully.. Ah make sense.. why more.. Long years back there was very reasonable prices and lowest.. can afford their home..

Now what happend todays... big change and went crazy increase the amount way up high amount cost of living plus mortgage or rent whatever... Anything kinds, how can you afford??? That what reason is.... you can live w/your parent until your goal feet back normal to pay off your debts or trying to save money or cannot afford residence dorm for universary or college whatever.. Depends your reason rights..

I think , everyones are way pressure on Ravestone.. He trying to educate you and understand pointview about the gov't making "not good reasonable their own laws as condiser giving you strictly" Why you dislike Ravestone's comment.. I think you feel uncomfortable being him!!! Really not NICE!!!

Ravestone, Don't worry, I understand you 110% what you're trying to say.. comapre expensive and cheap living..

Some people who cannot afford their own.. of course I do understand everyone have good reason.. No problem.. as long your goal feet back normal... As same me before long years ago back!!!

I've read about the BANKS compare Broker... Pretty find interesting... BANKS ARE MAKING PROFIT AND EAT YOUR MONEY percentage hide their agedna taxes. I discovered that... Afterall, I decide not use BANK for mortgage.. forget it.. I'd rather stick w/Broker which it's very very reasonable price of rate percentage... and explained me awful lot details and more understand clear until you 110% understand.

Isn't fair being gov't treat you hell in the rot.. as same canada system' law somewhat hide sumth'n mostly broke their promises...
by the way nobody perfect!!!
