I'm judged all the time......just like most people

They just don't seem to understand that when they approve of another's rights being violated, they open themselves up to the same thing.:cool2:

If judgments are capable of affecting people's careers, they are already affecting the people involved.

Judgments doesn't just affect you, it affects you, your wife, children, parents, siblings, relatives, co-workers, associates, clients, etc.

It doesn't have to be you to make it happen. A person who may not think too much of you can make it all happen whether you like it or not. The worst part is, it doesn't have to be true at all in order to destroy one's career.

It's relatively easy to portray people in the wrong light.

It has happened.....never bothered me. :shrug: I stay true to my principals and let the chips fall where they may.

It doesn't matter if you stick to your principles or not. People will do anything to ruin one's reputation, career, family and life.

Do you have any idea how many people's lives were ruined by false allegations of child abuse?

All it takes is one anonymous call to the social welfare office.

That's just one example of how to ruin and tear a family apart. Even if they come back together, the damage is already done.

People will hear about it. It's not just between you and the authorities. Once the word gets out, no matter if the accused is found not guilty, there are people who will still think you are guilty.

Just look at O.J. Simpson. He was even ordered to pay to the ex-wife's family since he was "responsible" for a murder that he was acquitted of. It doesn't matter if he actually did it or not, he was acquitted of the murder charges. His career was severely damaged by the murder charges and the trial. His career never recovered. Nobody wanted to deal with him.

There are always going to be a stigma attached to any false allegations.

It obviously hasn't happened to you. I'm not talking about petty rumours and such. I'm talking about the legal/justice system. So consider yourself lucky that you don't have to know what it's like.
