Ikea! Ikea! Ikea!

I don't think I have IKEA near my hometown, not that I know of. :dunno: And I have never been to IKEA either.

IKEA is everywhere in Germany.
IKEA is produce by Sweden.
IKEA furniture is not my taste but I only buy raw wood furniture to use my restoration work.

I bought very few with special offer (Sale) and trick them into Antique look.

Just to add.....I always thought people knew about Ikea but most of my friends were like " What the heck is Ikea?" when I told them I'd stopped by on my way back from NYC.

They have a fairly new Ikea in College Park Maryland that sits just off of our Capital Beltway (for those not familar with DC, the beltway is an interstate that goes in a circle around the city)...

When that new Ikea opened, it caused traffic jams for miles upon miles. I was working as traffic reporter that day and I spent 4 hours in the air reporting traffic around that damned Ikea as it was the big traffic event of the afternoon LOL.

Go back! Walk to the center of IKEA building and fire up a cig and put it on fireproof material to let it smoking then yell "Fire" aloud as much as you can!

So that's way you can shop alone in that massive building.

nice try magaboy!! :giggle:

Interesting...although, I'm not sure whether it was you that's doing the flying or riding? Unless you've mentioned that somewhere else in AD, I've missed it...just wondering--

As for this topic...I've seen several Ikeas from a distance during my travels, there isn't one at this location as far as I know...never checked out the store itself, but if I visit one in the near future, I'll be sure that the trunk in my car is cleared from what others are saying about Ikea! ;)

They have Ikeas in England too, Im surprised they are in America as well, didn't realise how international they were.

I've gone to Ikea so many times, love their stores. At the moment I have a bookcase, chair, clock and storage stuff from there.

Have you seen the advertisements for Ikea, with that designer man? It cracks me up!

I went to Tempe IKEA today..
Drove up and saw the parking lot..
:squint:
FULL!! Even the side streets and firelanes are parked full of cars!
:jaw:
:fu2:
:pissed:
:rl:
:madfawk:
:tears:
Then drove home without even going in IKEA.
Dammit.
I seen some humor advices... but my reality advices, just drive to Ikea, and when u see a customer walking out of Ikean, follow that person to its car then grab the parking spot as that person leaves... that what I usually do when I'm at the store...

As for me, I never went or saw any Ikea store but I've seen the online and it look kewl...

It reminded me - I finally cleaned out my storage room last August and found out that my IKEA desk had gotten water damage around the bottom, so ... I no longer have IKEA and will have to order a new desk...bbllpptthh!

If I was the customer leaving the door, I wouldn't follow me! Because I am kind of a tease and prankster, I'd be pretending a nearby parked car is mine and get close to car door with the keys out in my hand, then suddenly walk away and slowly go to another parked car, then walk away. I'd do it again for a few more times before I finally get to my real car. The whole time, a long row of cars would be following me around the parking lot and going:

Awww, bummer!! Bright side is IKEA's prices are so cheap, you can easily get a new one!

Yeah, thank goodness...and one thing ... the reason why I like the desks from IKEA is because theyre' totally flat and have a LARGE surface... you can have your computer on one end, and still have LOTS of room for writing!!!
