hello ad, I am still alive! if you were wondering where I have been, and I have been going through battle with my high school and Vocational Rehabilitation. they did very bad thing to me and I wrote a lot of forms and papers to sue both parties for taking advantage of my disabilities.
They don't want me to go to deaf community college and VR counselor for the deaf just recently left me because I filled CAP papers to sue her. I am fighting for my right to stay remained in my high school until i am 21 in '07 so they will be responsible for transportation and transition year since the asshole transition coordinator in my high school didn't prepare my significant disabilities for living on my own so I hope that I will receive the extra year needed so that I can go to training school and deaf community college to get ready for NTID in '07...

Why stay in high school until you're 21?

My transition at high school was very inadequate; I need much more help, because I am so profoundly deaf. I don’t think the people at high school fully understand the problems of being a profoundly deaf quadriplegic, I know they tried but being so disabled, my transition was very inadequate. So I am going to a training school for the disabled to learn independent skills and go to Northwestern CT community college since it has a good D/HH program. Both schools will help me get ready for living on my own at NTID and English and mathematics skills will be much better because I would get used to college level courses in community college.

here's what happened to me

The social worker and my school system forced me to sign papers that I don’t want to sign. The social worker put her hand over my hand with pressure and signed my name. The social worker said that I must take the psychological testing or they would not help me get whatever I need in the order to function properly on my own and in both higher education and workplace. I currently have a communication device that has a voice that speaks for me and a laptop computer for school, however these devices will be taken back to the school system when I graduate then VR won’t purchase these devices unless I take psychological testing which I denied.
